At least she is in the lab again this morning.
Everyone on ST is whining about rhabdo but those numbers are completely normal for an endurance athlete post an event. If they said CPK above 50 thousand that’s cause for concern 800/900 no that’s a tough workout and somewhere most of us are after a weekend long run.
As long as numbers go down overnight she’s completely fine to continue. At the paces she’s going and the breaks she’s taking most average Joe Ironman racers could hammer or a week or a deca in safety... but with her Nutriton bets are she wont...
Current record:
Day 1 halfish ironman
Day 2 travel
Day 3 lifting session “body craves the strength training”
Day 4 first actual Ironman if you don’t count bus drafting and several hour transitions and watch pauses
Day 5 nailed it
Day 6 made it 21 miles into the bike before checking into the hospital
Day 7 remains to be seen
Is ultra anything absolutely healthy? No. Why worry about renal failure then with relatively normal cpk levels for an athlete training or performing hard..
The drugs she’s complimenting her recover with and the insane show of Nutriton her coach is fueling her with. She needs an onboard dietician not some b 1 day CrossFit style Nutriton certification. This paleo may actually get her killed, winning her a real mother of the year award. “Like me” on Instagram even though I have no business doing this and am only doing it for attention, I mean “for the children”... never mind if she drops dead her own children will be split up with multiple dads. If not a dietician she at the very minimal needs someone with actually ultra & medical experience on her team.
Why she didn’t contact someone who’s done a Trans America run or a Deca Ironman is beyond me. Why she was rude to IronCowboy when he offered to help, is the complete definition of narcissism and idiocy.
She should have hired Jay Lee From Sandra Vis team running across America.
He would have had her fueled properly, actually verifying her stats with proper tracking, made the internet experts back off with real data, and also he would have told her to go train for a few years prior. Actually he probably would have told her to stop it. But she should have done her homework.
Jay are you around these forums this time? Would love your insight.
Well, bloodwork a week In is better than not at all.
