All these people dying way up there makes me wonder if there's anything that actually lives there? Maybe some kind of high-altitude mountain goat, or ice worms (there is such thing) or lichens or even microbes. A scientist should give one of them a kit to find out.

A type of moss has been found as high as 21,000'.
Doesn't sound like any known living organisms at 23,000' or higher.
