Not happy I was hoodwinked, but I blamed my depleted physical state at the time.

Same thing here, but instead of a 5 it was a 20 and for a pawn shop advertising that they buy with cash. Of course my teammate found an actual twenty dollars a few weeks later.

Found a can of chili and carried it 6 miles home.

Had chili dogs that night for dinner.

I was about 4 miles out on and out-and-back run with no surrounding buildings or bathrooms(dirt roads and farms) and I had to take care of business(poop).

And I found about 4 McDonald's napkins! What a great time to find those!

However, I did not bring the napkins back with me.

A few years ago I found a cell phone lying in the grass next to the sidewalk as I was finishing a run. Was only about 50 yards from my house. Battery was dead, so I plugged it into a standard micro USB charger. I took a shower and headed off to work. While on the Metro I went into the contacts and found one called Mom. I texted Mom that I had found the phone and would like to return it to her son or daughter.

Later that day, after still not receiving a reply from Mom, I decided to go through the texts. Text after text referenced drug dealing, from weed to oxycodone. Great, I've got a drug dealer's phone, and now they have my name and number.

Later that night I finally got a text from Mom asking how they could pick up the phone. I ended up dropping it off at their door after they gave me their address. Their apartment complex looked pretty much like what a drug dealer's apartment complex would look like. I didn't ask how the phone ended up in my nice neighborhood. Don't want to know.

Out on a 5 mile run in HS in 1979. Guy on a motorcycle stopped me and said he had lost something. He was honest and said it was drugs that had flown out of his pocket while riding the motorcycle. If I found it he would give me $ 50. Well I found it on an overpass a short time later in the grooves along the edge. It was in an old metal tobacco pouch. Inside was what I thought might be heroin and a bunch of pills. I ran home about two miles and called him from the number he gave me. We met at an old gas station near my house. He did give me $ 50.

Too many claiming to be honest and cat lover people posting here. Its bogus. You kept the drugs, phones and money you found and killed the cats.

a flathead screwdriver that was 14" long lying in the street, picked it up so cars wouldn't run over it, then carried it 7 miles home. (Found in the middle of a 14 mile run)

Also have found 2 insulated pizza delivery bags and carried them home a couple miles, They work great when getting carry out pizza

My mojo. I lost it after coming on letsrun, but it's all good now.

One kitten about several miles into the forest on a trail run. Can't figure out how a kitten got that far. It wasn't feral and was friendly, but very hungry and cold.

One enormous Coulter pine cone. It was huge and I wanted it for my fireplace mantel. Running with a >5 pound spiky cone wasn't such a good idea.
