Worked at that camp as well. I kid you not after first meeting him called bullshit I immediately looked up his times. Actually said how weird and varied his times were. Sadly, I ended up believing him.

Guy claims he ran 1:47 and 14:12(which he states is a 5k record and at one point turned into a sub 13 effort). Did some digging and he ran a 23:xx in that race. There are some truly delusional people out there.

this whole thing is interesting, poor hs kid reads all about the typical lets runner who didn't really bloom in hs, walked on to a D3 school, then earned a $400 year scholarship, would have made the Olympics/trials if not for poor coaching and injuries, but goes on to have a girlfriend sleep with his roommate, then runs on pure hate leading to pure success in training, that would result in an Olympic team spot if not for the stress of a trophy wife and a $250k year job, and basically it is unfair that the Russians are doping and all.

It is a wonder there aren't thousands of kids trying to run a 600meter 800, all they ever wanted to be is just like you when they grow up.

He wasn't kicked off the team. He graduated five years ago.

It's a typical high school track. Those aren't mobile homes, they're classrooms. When student populations outgrow their buildings, districts will add these trailers as a cheaper alternative to remodeling a building. When you see these on a campus, it's a sure sign the school is overcrowded.
