As a coach who regularly recruits and competes against Georgetown, I have to admit I was especially interested in catching up on this thread/issue. Now I'm just embarrassed that I even approached this with any ill will towards them.
I have nothing but sympathy for the coaching staff. Why? Because every single coach at this level has had this happen and victim-card athletes like these are absolute nightmares. If the case presented to us is entirely accurate, and no new evidence comes out, I see zero reason why the staff shouldn't be entirely exonerated and this young woman should removed from the team and her scholarship (though I obviously know that's not how this works). Her naive, vendetta-laden, immature and uninformed testament alone should be enough to completely discredit her. But we all know why the university has to "investigate."
From one coaching staff to anther, we wish nothing but the best for the staff at Georgetown and the athletes who understand what high level NCAA DI athletics are about.
