I'll agree on Harvey but Sally Jesse is sub-elite at best not Top level.

Janice Joplin (numerous times in the mid to late 1960's. Knew her too).
Not well enough to know how to spell her first name, I take it...
Just a few for me, Bill Rodgers, Frank Shorter, Dick Beardsley, Jim Ryun, Billy Mills, Bobby Kersee( very nice guy) and most of his sprinters, Matt Tegenkamp, Arturo Barrios, Mark Platjos, Pat Porter, Kevin Costner, Ray Dawn Chong, and the lady that was on baywatch (not pamela anderson) August Busch, Sr., Henry Block, Spoken with President Bush, the first one on the phone. All in all a pretty nice group of people, oh forgot Nolan Ryan and Frank Tanana back when they were with the Angels.
almost forgot my daughter works in a coffee shop in NYC, and now i can say i know someone that knows someone. Apparently Alec Baldwin comes in several times a week, Jane fonda was in last week, and Cameron Diaz was also in. She is always telling us of famous people she is meeting in the city.
Saw Jim Varney at an airport, Hank Williams Jr. at a gun show, and Cheri Kenah at an airport.
Of course I did see Angus Young, Ray Davies, and Roger Daltrey at Rock Concerts.
I've seen crammy struggling to reverse park into a space at the jarrow track, he was there for at least 10 minutes. If not that, then i saw my self in the mirror this morning whilst shaving my three chins!!!
Charles Manson.
Bill Clinton -disembarking from copter after landing on the mall in DC
Morgana (the stripper) -sold her a coke at 1974 All Star baseball game in Pittsburgh. I worked as stadium vendor at the time. The guy with her looked like her manager (garish plaid sportcoat, big cigar...) Hard to forget that scene.
Also remember selling the late Ben Vereen as few beers at a Pirates game.
Mean Joe Greene - surprised that I was a little taller than him
Ben Vereen is still alive.
before NYC marathon in 2005 i shook tergat's hand and said, "good luck today." "good luck to you, too", he replied. and then he went on to win.
i also shook his hand afterwards and then he patted me on the shoulder and said, "thank you very much."
i still want to meet haile. or better yet "race" him.

Thanks for the correction!
I've lived a pretty sheltered life -
saw James Arness (Mr. Dillon of Gunsmoke) in Aspen
seen or briefly met most of the famous Boulder/Colorado runners ca. 1980s-90s; only claim to future fame was to outrun Lorraine Moeller on a 3000 m track race once--she wanted blood and I wasn't giving
at a banquet met Mean Joe Green, LC Greenwood, and Bert Jones of 70s football fame
My grandparents were high rollers and they knew or met a lot of famous folks back in the day:
Woodrow Wilson
FDR
Hellen Keller
Jane Adams
ML King
to name a few
4 airport sightings:
Morris The Cat ( filming an ad)
Dick Vitale
Jerry Springer
Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr.
I waited on Belinda Carlisle while she was in town for a Go-Go's concert. She had a salad.
I feel a bit cheesy responding but reading thru this has been fun so...

I've left out some, including those from MI around my age or who were in college same time as me (Dave Wottle, teammate & Oly 100m winner Hasely Crawford, etc).
I'm sure nearly or all above would prefer not to be thought of as famous.
Dalai Lama
Richard Geere
Sean Bean
Lyle Lovett
Julia Roberts (bitch)
Woody Harrelson
I met Pamela Anderson and Hilary Clinton within a month's time at book signings.
I saw Cameron Diaz once outside the Viacom building. She is hotter in person.
I saw Lenny Kravitz naked in the locker room, long story. Nice ass and great tats.
