Whatever the case, Hall passed through 20K well over two minutes faster than the record that stood before he broke it himself in October. I don't care how infrequently run the 20K is, that's amazing.

You mean "well over ONE minute" don't you?

So having a woman that society deems as visually appealing is part of his success? Was that one of the steps in his plan to success? I wonder if Sara knows this is her use in the relationship.

But you're right, I'd be pretty happy with a hot wife. I'd be much faster if I dumped the ugly one I've got.

I think he said 2 minutes from the record time BEFORE Hall broke it. So the reference is not to Hall's 57:54 but to the prior mark, ~58:42.

Correct. Some may have thought the the old record (pre-57:54) was by KK in around 57:30 or so, but KK's citizenship had not gone through at the time he ran it. So the last guy to have the AR before Hall was Abdi in 58:42.

Ryan Hall seems like a good role model for younger people to emulate. He probably doesn't list "pimping" as his favorite hobby on his myspace, unlike the Deaks and Acostas out there who try so desperately to sound cool.

Now that I think about it, 57:54 will probably remain the official record because there was no chip mat at 20K. Bad break for Ryan, but he will have other chances. I guarantee you future race organizers will have as many chip mats out as they can each time he races on the roads.
