What does Williams 9:07 3km from January convert to over 3200m?
I must have missed that. 9:07 is flying
By the way, where is Alden Morales? He had a fantastic XC season, I hope he isn't injured.
Injuries and sicknesses happen to lots of people. Jackson Spencer had a flu earlier this winter. He started racing again. Hopefully Morales is healthy this spring. Good thing Morales was healthy during the XC state meet when JSerra boys had their only chance of winning the title. Good thing Spencer was healthy at NXN and Brooks when he had a chance to be the first national champion coached by Soles.
If JSerra recruits, then they should be penalized for doing such as sh!t show of a job doing that. Looking at their boys roster from the past two years they've never even fielded both a varsity team and lower level team. Stupid accusation!
Don’t they have a different XC head coach for boys and girls now? (Frazier coaches the girls, and Arriola coaches the boys?)
10 seconds? What are you talking about? Jane Hedengren ran 3200 in 9:14 and 2 miles in 9:17.
Jaelyn Williams is very good but she has a long way to go to catch Jane Hedengren.
Her Brooks PR was unattached, so I don't think it officiallly counts as a high school record, but I could be wrong. ;-)
I'd rather just talk about her PB of 9:30.68 at Arcadia in the 3200 because the Brooks PR 2 mile time (and the 3000 and 3200 en-route splits) are just ridiculously untouchable.
Jaelyn Williams will probably be running Arcadia so we'll see how she does. Hopefully Natazsa Dudek, Blair Bartlett, and Abby Hennesey (9:02 3k) will also be in the Arcadia 3200. With the four of them pushing each other maybe one of them will get under 9:40.

That would be nice. I hope we get the weather we did last year - perfectly cool, zero wind. Are we expecting anything out of the boys 3200 this year? Last year's race was an abomination, I hate to say.
I wouldn’t count on the arcadia 3200 invite boys race to be any better unless Jackson Spencer, Yohannes Van Meertan, Caden Leonard, and Marcelo Montecon are racing. State of the boys 3200 returners I lowk sad, the fastest returning time is Isaac Abbott’s 3200 from Dublin which was the only time he ever went under 9.

Katy Zang says "don't forget about me"!! 9:42 3200 solo

Most people didn't forget about Katy Zang because most people didn't even know she existed. That 9:42 came out of nowhere. Her PR before that race was the 10:17 she ran only 5 weeks ago.
Improving by 35 seconds in just 5 weeks is unheard of.
1600 results were oddly fast 8 under 4:20 Cooper Stream 4:10 Hugh Heyer 4:11 (back after dnf at sections) Cooper Barr 4:12 Matthew Ogilvie 4:13 Elias Thronson 4:14 Sebastian Taylor (O’Dowd) 4:14 Braden Himley (Ponderosa) 4:16 Landon Warriner 4:18
I can see Stream going 4:05 and Thronson and Montoya battling it out at the rising stars mile
Woodbridge runs a 10:13 to become DMR leader in California. Antonio anchored with about a 4:10. Could be faster with the wind/dryness going on today in Socal.

I asked the coach, and according to him Antonio ran a split of 4:06 high, which was his pr from last season.
