No. It is because of the school shooter training that Governor Abbott put in place following the Uvalde school shooting. My kids (elementary age at the time) were told that they had to immediately shut and lock the classroom door when there was a school shooter alarm. They were told not to open the door under any circumstances, even if their friends or teacher was stuck on the outside and was screaming for help as the shooter approached.
But I agree that this is an irrational fear because people in states like Texas and Utah are allowed to open carry, which means that the best protection from a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Or maybe that isn't working out so well after all.

So all of the victims were detainees and none were ICE agents. Yet, the FBI, which lied about bullet casings just a couple weeks ago, is using a photo of a bullet with "anti-ice" scribbled on it as proof that this was ideologically-motivated, targeted attack against law enforcement, before we know anything about the shooter. Who is gullible enough to buy this sh*t?
