Huh?? I never said that. You're lying when you say that. Stop lying.
The shooter was a maga gun humper for most of his life. We know that for a fact. But, given how desperate and incompetent the FBI has proven to be under Patel, we cant be sure this is even the right guy. They announced that they caught the wrong person twice, lied about the evidence ("trans bullets"), and then the killer just conveniently confesses after getting away scott free? Credibility problem.
Of course Robinson is the murderer and the evidence, including DNA analysis, is overwhelming. Even had authorities wanted to do so, it would have been impossible to frame him.
I have not seen so much evidence accumulated against a suspect like Robinson in such a short period of time.
I am surprised at how little comment has been directed at the risks Patel assumed by immediately going public with so much evidence. So far it appears it was a viable gamble but you can bet rank and file (competent) agents were uncomfortable. It is easy to be rah rah about catching the guy but the overall goal is to sustain a successful and appeal proof prosecution.
Lots of focus will be placed on his texts to his lover. The texts contain a confession and a request to obstruct justice. The texts are hearsay and if Robinson obtains a competent death penalty qualified lawyer - which will be very difficult in this case - that lawyer will fight to keep the texts out of the trial, asserting that exceptions to the hearsay rule will not apply. Not sure what will make sense. If Robinson can plausibly demonstrate that others in his Discord group were in on the assassination - no evidence of that so far - but if this is the case it is a source of leverage (and not so great at that) for the prep and he may not desire to contest the admissibility of the texts.
The other thing that strikes me is being camped on dark places of social media is a dismal life. This isn’t a political statement as much as it is a statement to the perils of this variant of digital isolation.

This right here. Thank you for posting this. This is something I have been thinking for a long time. We need to get people out of these dank corners where they grow anxious, angry, and violent. How do we do this? I am not sure.

A coordinated all out assault on the dark web is in order. In addition to cleaning up the breeding grounds of hate based violence, we could also get the sex traffickers, pedos, drug dealers, financial scammers, illegal weapons traders, etc.
Who cares if the shooter was MAGA, left wing, trans, black, white or purple. The guy is just as dead. At this point he is maggot food. I hope this serves as a lesson to the racists, xenophobes and homophobes in AmeriKKKa. Your mouth can cause you to write some checks your a$ can’t cash. Stop spewing hatred and your chances of living a long life are greatly increased. No one should get murdered for speech even if it is hate speech but there are sick people out here that will kill your dumb a$.
Our problem is people like you who view disagreement as hate speech. Every rational, reasonable and even polite challenge to your beliefs is considered to be some form of hate. Its built into your belief structure. That lays a foundation for righteous justification of assassination by some lonely, psychotic idiot. Those "sick people" are only slightly more sick than you.
No question this guy was a gender-confused rudderless nihilist whose own transitioning boyfriend seemed quite shocked about the shooting and disengaged.
I don't agree with this. The texts and discord exchanges are very odd, and this looks like an attempt to absolve all his buddies - including his gay, trans, furry partner - of any of the guilt. Who writes things over text like "I am still ok my love, but am stuck in orem for a little while longer yet. Shouldn’t be long until I can come home, but I gotta grab my rifle still." It sounds like he is speaking Hobbit or something.
Or what about, "I’m wishing I had circled back and grabbed it as soon as I got to my vehicle. … I’m worried what my old man would do if I didn’t bring back grandpas rifle."
Vehicle? Old man? Grandpa's rifle?
The entire exchange seems like a giant joke. Like some kind of inside joke that Redditors and Discord people are laughing about right now.
Plus, who in their right mind asks, "How long have you been planning this?" immediately after learning that their boyfriend and roommate just committed a high-profile murder?
You have to be kidding me to think this is not a farce. I guess we'll see. If the DOJ is intelligent enough to figure it out.
So you’re on the side where it was Mossad and the culprit flew off in a trackless plane then I guess (ADS-B would’ve picked it up immediately, but nevermind)?? Or are you agreeing with Kimmel, who had a right to say stupid sh!t to his dopey followers without first fact checking them?

There's an "esq." missing after your name, right? You raised a lot of interesting points, and it looks like you've at least taken crim law.
Going public with details is a dumb risk, because then the defendant's public defender can argue that the jury pool has been tainted and the defendant can't get a fair trial. But Patel has been very open about why he chose to do so: in the name of "transparency." He feels that the Justice Dept under Biden did too much in secret, targeted enemies (Maralago raid on Trump, for example), and he wants to "remedy" that perception by laying too many cards on the table. Still, this case can't possibly he dismissed on those grounds, can it?
Here is the law in Utah regarding text messages and whether or not they are heresay:
Given the surveillance video, DNA evidence, and statements given to law enforcement by his family and lover, I'm not sure the text messages will really matter. They will certainly play a central role in the State's case, if entered into evidence.
There doesn't seem to be any conspiracy afoot, but your hypothetical naturally assumes that we don't everything, which has to be true, sloppy work by Patel or no.
Your insight in that last paragraph is pretty keen. This was an angry young man who knew he was going to break the law in such a way that, if caught, it would ruin his entire life. Text messages indicate that he hoped to take it to his deathbed, but boy did he have poor plate discipline on that note. He openly joked with his peers about having a "doppelganger" who committed the crime when the best move would have been to say nothing or deny it. And...what exactly was he so angry about? His father didn't approve of his choices? He thought Kirk was making his life harder because he had a political take on transgenderism that was different than his own? Dismal is a great word here. I don't know if I can agree that he was "digitally isolated." He had friends and partner. He connected with them online. Still like your alternative theory, as it hints at some compassion for someone who clearly didn't think things through.
Jimmy Kimmel says the assassin of Charlie Kirk was MAGA. You say that it it okay to kill someone you disagree with politically. You have become nutjobs. Nuts!

YOU and others with sick minds like yourself caused Charlie Kirk's murder.
You call amyone who disagrees with you "Nazi", "racist", "fascist".
And then you act surprised when someone does something.
Democrats: There are very fine people on both sides.
Aug. 15, 2017. Trump press conference, in protests a MAGA murderer at Charlottesville, Va: "you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides."
