Liking joins Illinois legend Craig Virgin as the only Big Ten men's student-athlete to win four-straight cross country titles, as Virgin won titles in 1973, 1974, 1975 and 1976. Bob Kennedy of Indiana (1988, 1989, 1990 and 1992) and Kevin Sullivan of Michigan (1993, 1994, 1995 and 1997) also won four Big Ten men's titles but not in consecutive years.
Juliet Cherubet shattered Valby’s course record at the Arturo Barrios earlier this season. So how in the world did Ceili McCabe beat Cherubet today? What about it ‘Fast McCabe”? You going to throw shade on her, like you seemed to do on Valby when you said something about so-and-so being “clean” or not?
So what’s the score on this Paityn Noe out of Huxley, IA, running for the Arkansas Razorbacks? She just obliterated Valby’s Dale Watts course record by 20 seconds! Are astro and Armstronglivs on it?
Huge talent and great to see her do well (I am from Iowa and bias but still). She shattered the all time Iowa State XC meet record as senior which is impressive considering despite being a small state the likes of Schweitzer, Houlihan, and Katie Flood all ran the same course. She seems to get stronger as the distance increases so don’t be shocked to see her running some great marathons in the future.
and yes-can’t wait for those 2 idiots to get on the case ha

Did someone mention the Western Athletic Conference? Maybe that's in another thread?
Here's a summary anyway: Utah Valley hosted and won both individual championships with Anna Martin and Mo Guled. The Wolverines also *perfect scored* the women's race with California Baptist coming second and Southern Utah third. In the men's race, CBU took the win followed by Southern Utah and UVU.
I think UVU's women and CBU's men have a good shot at making NCAAs.
Don't really know what is going on there. Maatoug never posts anything on social media. At Duke she was the star so the student newspaper covered what was going on with her. At Washington she's one of many and the student newspaper ignores the sport.
Maatoug was injured during spring. She must not feel fit right now because she drops back immediately, instead of challenging near the front like a Duke.
Bottom line she's going to finish near Sophie O'Sullivan. It plays out that way no matter what it looks like early. The two are friends and apparently like to stay close.

Maatoug has range from 800 thru xc. Picked a school known for flexibility and working with internationals.
Cannot imagine she is unhappy with Powells. Her fitness must just be lagging due injury or late start.
