Big match for Aussies tonite against Denmark before around 80,000. We beat them in mens World Cup, so hopefully we can get double.

75,784 fans watched Australia defeat Denmark. Television ratings will be huge too. Sam Kerr is back, Aussies are very good. Women's sport is getting the coverage it deserves.

Probably was the US's best performance of the WC. The Swedish goalie was crazed in regular play. Reminded me of the US game in WC when Tim Howard was on his head and stopped so many shots it was ridiculous. So heartbreaking to lose in PK. Hope the rest of the tourney is as exciting as it has been up to this point.

I do believe soccer is one of best sports that showcase female team sports. And so do Aussie fans given they have been getting good crowds for international matches for quite a while.

Also worth noting that 54 million viewers in China watched their team get pounded by England in the group stage. Yes I know there are a lot of people in China but thats still a mind boggling number and the numbers are up all over the world in this World Cup.

When you blast two goals over the bar and one off the post, which the goalkeeper never touched, that's not a "save" it's just very poor execution of a spot kick.
Yes, the decision of a match by penalties is quite cruel.

Yes, the decision of a match by penalties is quite cruel.
As poorly as the US played, they still had 2, yes 2, penalty kicks to win the match. They were missed by Rapinoe and Smith, neither even putting their shot on target. The team then had to still miss a 3rd in a row, O'Hara, to give Sweden the win.
Somehow the media doesn't cover this, they just say 'us lost on penalties'.
Swedish goalkeeper was great during actual match, didn't have to be in penalty kicks.
