Disagree. They're a great program, with a great coach. They just dont have the talent this year to be 4th in the state, as a previous post suggested.

Plus, we all know that it's the Scioto boys who are hacks.

Few freshman in the country won as much as Snyder in 2022. He roped off 10 wins over his first year in high school, capturing victories at the Wooster Invitational, the Tuslaw Invite and the WCAL League Championship.
In the ones that truly mattered, Snyder did not drop off, either. He was first in his OHSAA District 3-9 race and then second at the OHSAA Division 3 championships.
His best performance for 5K actually came in his last race. He ran 15:37.00 to finish 61st at the Nike Midwest Regional.

6. Landon Kimmel

Kimmel was tasked with being his team's No. 1 in 2023. He did not disappoint.
He won five races as a freshman, finished fifth at the Trinity/Valkyrie Invitational and was fourth at regions. At the Division I state championships, Kimmel was 25th overall and the top freshman finisher.
From there, he closed his season at the Nike Midwest Regional, rounding up a 30th-place finish.

do not see how WK can be a powerhouse when their high milage weeks are 40 and those are own pace 40 miles.

I disagree they obviously know what there doing cause of how many people that are petty darn good im not sure though what there future is looking like

What kind of seasons will up and comer Charlie Vause (Milford) have, as well as Ethan Cope of Toledo St. Francis? Will Saketh Rudraraju of Olentangy Orange finish in the top ten at Obetz in November?

And so on . . .

Just for fun, ranked teams based on 2023 Track performances for their returning athletes... used VDOT tables to convert track 1600/3200 times to 5K equivalents... gave preference to 3200M equivalents if possible.

This process suggests St X as #1 going into the 2023 XC season.

For the Pickerington region, Jerome projects as the top team... Coffman, then Orange, then some separation to Westerville North, Liberty and Kilbourne in a tight pack. Lancaster is intentionally omitted.

Of course, track performances don't translate to XC in the same way for all guys/teams, but it was an interesting exercise... and maybe indicates which teams made the most progress through the track season.

Any chance that Hilliard Davidson is good this season? They used to be a powerhouse but they seem to not be returning many runners and have been declining for a while.

This year it will be a rebuilding year for them.
But there will be only one senior at the most.
next year, depending on how well the class of 2025 develops, they might be good again
