I just saw the video link of the 1968 Olympic Trials for the 1500m, that has to be the strangest track I ever saw with the trees in the middle of the track. Who came up with that idea? Kind of cool in a way, not sure how they did the field events...
Monaco track. 397m and with a stadium built in such a way that incoming air literally turns into vortex winds designed to go anticlockwise so every runner has a tail wind.

I ran on a half-mile track at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio. I was later told it was long by something like 40 yards. Imagine that.
I came here to talk about this track too. It's actually just over a mile now if you do the entire oval. It has cutoffs for a 400 loop, and 800 loop too. It's awesome!
