One critical thing with the Beatles was that they would never get back together unless all four were ready to go together. Once John died it sealed the deal. Although 2 or 3 could work together as well as George Martin, they never called it the Beatles. George’s song When We Was Fab had Paul, Ringo, three wrote for Ringos albums. George played for John and Ringo for all three over time.

The stones founding member was Brian Jones, more talented than the others. Died at age 27. Their long time pianist was an original member and more talented than the rest. Mick Taylor came and went, their beat guitarist by far. Ron Wood is good and lucky at the same time It’s been a cast of characters. The horn players freelanced. McCartney used them extensively on tour in the 70s and in the studio.
