Nope. It is true. John and Paul wrote the Stones their first single. Andrew Look Oldham locked Jagger and Richards in a room and would let them out until they wrote a song.
They were a blues cover band and were arrogant against R&B and rock n roll. They finally woke up and smelled themselves.

Nothing in your post above in any way lessens the stupidity of your comment (and McCartney's) that The Rolling Stones were a blues cover band.
Just an FYI., Keith and Paul hang out together in the Caribbean….frothing fans lose their minds when stuff gets said. So silly.
One critical thing with the Beatles was that they would never get back together unless all four were ready to go together. Once John died it sealed the deal. Although 2 or 3 could work together as well as George Martin, they never called it the Beatles. George’s song When We Was Fab had Paul, Ringo, three wrote for Ringos albums. George played for John and Ringo for all three over time.

The stones founding member was Brian Jones, more talented than the others. Died at age 27. Their long time pianist was an original member and more talented than the rest. Mick Taylor came and went, their beat guitarist by far. Ron Wood is good and lucky at the same time It’s been a cast of characters. The horn players freelanced. McCartney used them extensively on tour in the 70s and in the studio.

Apart the the Dave Clark 5, who in that era of pop music got all of the money that was due them? Certainly not the Rolling Stones. Alan Klein got most of their money and the rights to some of their early material. All through the 60's they never had more than pocket change. The Beatles had the worst financial deal in the business. The Stones and the ex-Beatles all got rich in the 70's. Pete Townshend did alright from music publishing, but Roger Daltrey said the main money the Who was making was from tours. Unfortunately, they spent most of that paying for Keith Moon's touring antics. The Byrds would go on tour and after the shows, they'd be asked if they wanted to go to a party. After the tour, they found out they were paying for those parties. Buffalo Springfield had a lousy deal. Stills sold the rights to a lot of those songs. CCR's financial woes are legendary. What you are referring to is Lennon's performance at The Rolling Stones' Rock and Roll Circus, where Clapton and Richards agreed to join him on Yer Blues.
The Beatles were great, and Yer Blues kind of rocks (especially with Clapton and Richards instead of McCartney), but its highly unlikely Lennon was trying to mock his good friend Keith Richards when he wrote it (and certainly not when he played it at the Stones' Circus). Given the Beatles' limited scope and focus on pop, any attempt at a mocking parody with Yer Blues would be more along the lines of "we mock that which we don't understand" maxim.
I think the Lennon quotes regarding how suicidal he felt when writing Yer Blues are more accurate than any music critics' beliefs that he was mocking white people playing the blues, which would seem pretty silly since the Beatles covered plenty of black artists.

Some accurate facts in there, and some weak spin. But none of the facts are obscure, and most are well known.
I don't get how you think you are explaining or supporting your stupid statement that The Rolling Stones were nothing but a blues cover band with any of it. You aren't. You are just reciting a bunch of commonly known facts with the bizarre belief that it makes you look knowledgeable.
Both John Lennon and Paul McCartney said that it was written as a joke to poke fun at white English musicians writing and covering the blues. Not my words. They recorded it in a closet-like room live all together. Sure, John isn’t singing directly to one specific English white musicians, but any and all. At the same time, it’s called taking the piss. They were all good friends. Richards did not play the bass better than Paul. Personally overall I like the White Album version than the Circus one. But the Circus version as a live recording is pretty damn good for sure.
Well, by your posts, I can’t tell how much or little you know. You are coming across as not musical. Real musicians or appreciators of it with a thorough understanding don’t pick favourites like that. It’s not a contest.
Stones became great. I thoroughly enjoy them but I don’t listen to the Beatles or Stones or Who or my 200 jazz cds or files or Gershwin or any contemporary music and think was Joan Baez better than Joni Mitchell or was Miles Davis better than Louis Armstrong or was Jaco Pastorious better than Flea or Elton John better than Dr. John……Morrison better than Vedder, Yellow Jackets over Lee Rittenauer...see how silly that is.
