We will find out over the next few years what Brazier is made of. Talent wise he is one of the best there is but maybe it’s in his head. It happened to some degree to El Gherou in the Olympics until he finally won in 2004. Sorry butchered his name. Mark my words Brazier will be back he will have to get over this Olympic trials disasters and set his sites on Worlds next year and Paris in 2024

Brazier out of the 800, Cheruiyot out of the 1500, Hassan out of the 1500. Some of these events will be a bust in Tokyo, were going to have champions who didn't have to best the very best in their events.

Yeah they act like the olympics are such a big deal. Wow one race timed out every 4 years. The odds of peaking on that one race is rare.

Strength beats speed. We've seen this so many times. Murphy had the W before that gun even went off. I think Brazier just panicked. None of them expected that surge and gap from Jewitt. Brazier panicked, made too strong of a surge too early and it cost him at the end. He didn't look injured, he just tightened up and went lactic. It happens in this 800 you have to prepare for nothing to go to plan and Brazier didn't do that.

Brazier has been battling injury for the last 3 months but still had the guts to front up and give his all when many other athletes would have just not entered out of fear of damaging their pride/ego. Biggest respect to DB!
He'll have plenty of time.

Brazier's chances becoming a professional Football player are the same as Jorgensen's winning an olympic gold in marathon, or Bolt's becoming a pro soccer player or Metcalf's an elite sprinter.
He could give it a go only to find out that he sucks and it is a lot harder than he thought it would be. Hopefully he learns his lesson and dedicates 110% of his heart to running.
