Actually what Putin and Xi said after the video meeting was vastly different. Also, Putin invited Xi to Russia to show the world the strength of their alliance. However, Xi will not go to Russia and Putin will look like an idiot, again.
Also, China has not provided Russia with any military support, despite multiple pleas from Putin.

Ukraine has taken parts of Russia. Russia occupied Kherson, held a referendum, declared that Kherson was Russia forever, and installed a Russian government.
A couple of weeks later, the Ukrainian army defeated the Russian army protecting Kherson and overthrew the Russian government.

According to Putler, Ukraine now occupies Russia's Kherson, as well as parts of Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts (and I assume Zaporizhzhia as well, but would have to consult a map to be sure).
According to the civilized world, Ukraine has not occupied any of Russia and Russia does not "own" any of Crimea, Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk or Zaporizhzhia. Of course, holding this opinion in Russia will get you imprisoned (or worse).

We didn't kill 68,000 Americans. We didn't kill any Americans, except a few on death row. We killed thousands of Russians, though.
