Some people say treadmill running is about 10% easier. If this is true she still would have run 469 miles. Still 67 miles a day.

That would be 402 over 6 days. I am not sure but probably not many women have pulled that off.

For many, running on a treadmill is easier in the sense of less pounding, but much, much tougher mentally especially when you're talking about long runs like those that have been claimed.

You can get away with all kinds of dodgy s*it with these charities.

The charities commission allows you to get away with allsorts.

I reported one totally dodgy one making a fortune and they were keeping loads of money for themselves.

We can ask for a breakdown of exactly what went where though.

I've never done anything like this, but as an experienced runner I expect that cumulative fatigue is a huge factor.

So you could hit a decent number on day 1 if you just kept moving for 19 / 20hrs, but after that it's going to be very difficult.

You also have to factor in that 6mph is about marathon pace for Amy. As slow as it sounds, anything between 4 to 5 mph is not super-easy for her. It's equivalent to a decent runner (say 2h 30 marathon) grinding out 7 minute miles. Ok for a while but not for 10 hours plus daily and then repeating day after day.

Even if we hypothesize a 50 minute 10K (which I doubt she could do fresh, say nothing about doing it on day 6 or 7 after running/walking for 18-20 hours per day), that nets her an extra 53 minutes compared to her generously estimated 3.61 mile/hour average. She would have had to do 4.17 of them just to make up for the distance lost on Day 1, where she only managed 61 miles.

Amy ... you seem to have gotten away with your 53/53 claim. And you might even come out of this one relatively unscathed. But I'm guessing if you keep pushing the envelope with the truth, it's going to come back to bite you one day.

So we've already calculated that Amy treadmilled at least 473 miles, and likely 495, and given that almost any ex post facto analysis by someone who wasn't there could have a 5-10% error, it looks like Amy's 520 is just about right.

You are misinterpreting the results. 495 miles is for the absolute best case scenario where she would have needed to run 20 hours a day for each of the 6 days after the first day and it already has other benefit built of the doubts built it.

The 473 miles is a more realistic number based on 19 hours a day of running with the same benefits of the doubts built it.

You can't say that there is an extra missing 5-10% mileage I'm missing unless you think Amy actually did all those miraculous 5k/10k runs at high speed overnight & fatigued where no one saw her.

Fella's, she didn't do it, end of. She knows she didn't do it, we know she didn't do it, Millet Sports knows she didn't do it. We all know she's never going to attempt it again because she knows she can't do it under proper scrutiny.

There is no more video to get released, Millet Sports are covering their arse and don't want anymore involvement and are hoping it all goes away, there's nothing in it for them to prove she's a phony. Hopefully they've learnt to watch out for scammers.
