It's clear to me that Switzerland is built on the wealth of oligarchs from many other countries and the money stored with us is not necessarily clean. But don't be naive and think it's the US money only and we depend on you. Russians, Chinese, Saudi and many more have their fortunes stashed away in Switzerland as well.

Either way I am not against war per se, only against hypocricy. All this "for democracy", "against totalitarianism" bullsh*t is insultingly stupid. Call it what it is - two empires necking it out on the field of Ukraine. For me personally the US = Russia, with only difference being that the US controls the media you're consuming.

The US and other capitalist nations want stability so their businesses can make money and their militaries don't have to be funded highly.

there is no example I can think of in modern times of western nations wanting a nation destroyed and then going in and plundering. Can you think of that? It makes no sense - capitalism needs lots of infrastructure and stable markets...the rubbled war zone of UKR is the opposite of that.

What "Russia" wants is to crush any sense of democracy and western lean in its sphere of influence. What "Russia" wants is whatever will keep Putin in power so he can rebuild the Russian empires of previous centuries. What the west wants is peace and markets and stability.

The only reason, why I ever mentioned where I'm from is to explain a relatively neutral opinion of this war. Two empires consisting of oligarchs committing war crimes in Ukraine at the cost of regular Ukrainian, Russian and American citizens.

Funny thing is no matter who wins, the US or Russia, none of us will feel any positive change in our daily lives. Yet we sit here and dicuss this sh*t for hours, some sad people even on Christmas.

My new years resolution will be to stop comming here. Not because of people who post here - vast majority are intellectually adequate people with legit arguing points - but simply because it's a waste of time and the only people to profit from this are brojos.

Meanwhile, US military is one of the largest business-providers in the world. How do you expect peace when over $700 billions are spent on military yearly? The only stability the US requires is a constant state of war.

One of the examples of the West snatching up wealth from a country is Lithuania. Freshly out of Soviet Union only to lose it's soviet built energy infrastructure to the West. Look up the history of "Mazeikiu Nafta". Lithuanian officials got bribed to sell it for a massive loss to Williams.

Switzerland is neutral. Swiss media is controlled by the West.
