if any other runner got blown out of the water at a marathon or track meet then came back to run that much faster with absolutely 0 competition everyone would be screaming doper usually…
I believe last year David was drug tested after Leadville. I'd have to confirm though. I remember him talking about it. Could've been Javelina but my memory says Leadville.
I have never ever heard of any type of drug testing after any of the Leadville races.
Don't forget that Leadville openly welcomed Armstrong and Landis to race their 100 mile bike race after both were stripped of Tour de France titles because of drug use.

I can confirm that I was not tested at western states where I beat him pretty handily. I’ve also not been tested at Leadville, but alas, he does have a faster time on this B race.
Somewhere I saw a recent pre-race article about this year's Leadville 100 run that did not list Roche as a pre-race favorite, which he obviously would have been if he was entered.
I interpret this to mean that he was somehow allowed to enter at the last minute.
Was he cherry picking after he saw the quality of the men's field?
Not taking anything away from any of the other competitors, but Roche won Leadville by nearly 3 hours this year. A woman finished in second place and there were 4 women in the top ten overall.
It is much easier to take risks and go after a record when you do not have to worry about competition and know you will win.

Not only did a race with a historically complicated, stringent and stingy acceptance process grant David a last minute entry, that entry stole some of the headline from what would have been an absolutely historic day for Ann had she won outright. Yep, the dude who says he uplifts women couldn’t set aside his ego long enough to let a woman have center stage. Let that sink in.

Doesn’t make any sense? He knew before the race she’d win? In Hardrock should the men all have dropped so Schide could win?
Also let's give it up to the women's winner who is an emergency room doctor. If you're not familiar, that's someone who has a medical PHD and uses it to treat patients in the real world, saving lives. DIG DEEP BABY.

LOL gained entry and they gave him Bib #1. I expect nothing but the utmost integrity from an organization like Life Time. He knew he was going to race all year gimme a break.
Triggered, are you? Pain and suffering? You're the one that cries to the mods when the criticism hits too close to home. The true epitome of "keyboard warrior." You would piss your pants if you met Roche in person.
I’m having a great time making fun of Roche, you’re the one hell bent on trying to insult me. I don’t givafuk dude, hope you feel super validated though ;)
ah, the smug facade of the insecure troll hiding behind his keyboard. I'd applaud it if it were a hilarious, snarky one-off. Even I'll say that Roche and his wife occasionally have it coming with their hyper-earnestness. I think they're sincere but we can all agree that it can be a bit much at times.
It's the obsession that is bizarre. No one in his right mind spends hours every week consuming content of someone they love to hate then posting about it. You've literally posted hundreds of times over the last year. You can't possibly have a job and a spouse, etc. Nor a life of any kind. Do you run? Do you ever leave your mom's basement? MA, MEATLOAF! Let me guess, in between trolling there are 30 hours a week of video games. The classic online bully who somehow feels powerful and important by smearing a pro-ish athlete in a niche sport. It's pathetic and sad that you don't see it.
Yes, I too would be pathetic if I spent 30 hours a week online defending the guy. Trust me, I don't. Some of us have jobs, families and 80 miles a week to run. But when the guy does something impressive, and Leadville CR is impressive despite what you think, I'm here for it.

TLDR - have you whooped Dave at a race yet? not sure I need to read this if not.

Read it. I was defending the man to one of the 3-4 insecure letsrun trolls who libel Roche incessantly, literally hundreds of posts, but would sh-t their pants if Roche walked by.

I dunno, you and titaniumnutsack seem to post more than anyone lately. No indication you’ve met him or crushed him in a race.

Your obsession with me is flattering. Looks like you worked hard on that post. Good job! And you definitely also totally proved you are a well-adjusted, popular, all-star athlete, family man chasing the corporate dream. Hats off to you champ.
