If K McCarthy survives politically, he will need to cut off Ukraine.

There didn’t seem to be much booing when President Zelensky was speaking to congress the other day, so it doesn’t seem like funding is too close to being cut off.

Were all Republicans there? A number of Republicans would not stand and clap. Are we going to debate this too? McCarthy doesn't have the votes and the issue is money to Ukraine. Some day this will be over. This will not be over due to an Ukraine victory. Either the anti-Ukrainians will prevail in Congress or McCarthy will join anti-Ukrainians in order for McCarthy to get what he wants.

Pro-Russia/Anti-Ukrainians like yourself are a small minority of American citizens and US Congress members.
If you drew a Venn diagram and Set A was people who hate America and Set B was pro-Russian/Anti-Ukrainians, you would have around 95% overlap in Set C (the intersection of A and B, or "A ∩ B"). Those are the statistics you are dealing with, Cold Warrior.

As a centrist who despises Biden and the so-called "progressives" on every domestic and many foreign policy issues, I am also experienced enough to not be surprised to see the Republicans shoot themselves in the foot by trying to cut off Ukraine and throw them to the wolves. I have noticed how they were tight-lipped for most of the year as the mid-terms loomed. Very predictable own-goal based on knee-jerk opposition to the one area in which the Dems have gotten ahead in moral terms. Pathetic to witness, but yes, predictable.
First Trump endorsing a rushed and failed vaccine, now this. Dumber only exists to make dumb seem acceptable.

That would be an effective strategy to get about 50 votes for speaker. "Let all of the Ukrainians die" just isn't a popular position outside of the craziest 10% of the American right wing.
I would be willing to bet that Zelenskyy has better approval ratings in the US than any American politician right now, despite constant attacks from Tuckems and friends.
