The point of Herman Cain is not a coincidence gotcha example. It’s that prior to his death he was a strong proponent of rebelling/having parties/events without any restrictions and part of the strong movement to go against the public health authority recommendations at the time and not listen to them (“The people are fed up!” He said). So then why, after dying of Covid - or maybe you think he died just because he was fat and old- did his Republican family and buddies (if they agreed with his message- and maybe they didn’t) bother with protections at his funeral if Herman himself wanted to do away with any of these type of measures to protect people from the virus?

Medical doctors don’t “prescribe” vitamins and nutraceuticals. However, your doctor should’ve encouraged this stuff in daily high doses pre-Covid, along w quercetin. You’d most likely be fine and have no ill effects.

NYC got walloped early on in the pandemic: lots of dead bodies within a matter of weeks needed to brought down elevators of skyscrapers to a packed high density grid island (NYC). Picture morgue trucks parallel parking and blocking roads in the packed NYC grid to funnel bodies out (which is a lot harder to do than in a low density part of the country). This was~February 2020 to April 2020: Asymptomatic and silent rapid spread (stopping travel from China did not help), no masks early on- in Asian countries masks are common for air pollution and preventing common sickness but here people didn’t know to wear them and how they can sometimes be helpful, business as usual, as the virus first cases reported in USA, silent spread in February 2020. Funeral home owners told us they were backed up (unless you think they were lying to the news stations).
Versus….mid pandemic (and post vaccine release) Covid deaths concentrated in southern parts of the US where vaccine skepticism higher (eg Texas and Louisiana). Morgue trucks and hearses, funeral homes better prepared and better able to better handle a more gradual continual load of bodies into a greater network of funeral homes spread out and located in lower density areas

Dan, to be fair, that study is only looking at infection versus two doses of vaccine. We already knew, and most scientists agree, that infection was just as good as two doses. What that study does not look at is the booster. However, neither does it look at Omicron lineage infection after initial convalescence. Which I think is superior, and I’ve really seen nothing to convince me otherwise. Now, the hyperbolic gaslighters on here will tell you that you risked your life and hospitalization and autoimmunity if you, as a low risk person, fought off Covid naturally. I just don’t agree. A high risk person? Sure.
given the COVID fatality is < 1% (and lower for LRC posters I’m sure!) I don’t think anyone “risks their life” by any usual definition by getting infected without prior vaccination… but it sure isn’t a smart idea and shouldn’t be encouraged at population level (see: 300k dead Americans that wish they had been vaxxed)
Nobody ever encouraged it at the “population level.” At least, I didn’t. But it was pretty easy to segregate the very high risk (most of the deaths, hospitalizations, and longer term ill effects) from the very low risk. The Venn diagram in the middle was more opaque. So this statement is disingenuous on the surface.
