Occupied territory??? That's yesterday's tactic. Cannot you tell what is occurring?? WAR of ATTRITION. U.S. has fully indicated what U.S. will do and what U.S. will not do. U.S. has walked the world far to close to WW3. U.S. will not do more. If Russia loses five-thousand men plus a month, what logically will Russia do? Do not tell me Russia is mean. This is ugly and unnecessary. Ukraine should prepare to negotiate today without conditions.
It IS a war of attrition, and Russian forces are being attrited. 1500 of 3500 tanks destroyed or captured. If I had to bet on which side could produce more arms in the next 5 years: NATO or Russia, I would go all in on NATO.
The US keeps sending more and more resources to Ukraine. 10 months ago, the idea of sending Patriot missile battery to Ukraine was inconceivable. Now, it seems likely. So, I think it's hard to say what the US will and will not do.
What do you think Russia will do if they lose 5,000+ men a month? Do you think Russians will to continue to accept that their future is being systematically eroded for nothing? Or, do you think that Russians will decide that they've had enough of Putin's idiocy and encourage him to have an accident near a window?
Russia should prepare to negotiate today without conditions.
They should negotiate but instead Putin meets with the Belarusian President:
Russian President Vladimir Putin made a rare trip to close ally Belarus as his forces pursue their campaign to bombard Ukraine with missiles and drones amid a broad battlefield stalemate almost 10 months into the war.
Another wave of Russian attacks has hit Ukraine's capital. Kyiv's military administration says it has shot down 15 drones on Monday morning.Russia’s drone at...

And Zelensky meets with the leaders of countries that have actual militaries. Sh*t, Belarus wants nothing to do with invading Ukraine and the people of Belarus are going to revolt.
And Ukraine continues unrelenting attacks on Russia soldiers. Which one do YOU think is more important for winning the war. Kherson is Russia forever, right?
Did you even bother to read your 6 month old article?
Of course, they're are going to say that. I wonder how much of the economic support Zelensky is getting for his "government" that's he's pocketed for himself. Lol.
Once again, this is American tax payer's dough that could be spent on domestic needs instead of this stupid war over there. Let Ukraine fvcking defend themselves - fight your own damn battles. THEY'RE NOT EVEN A MEMBER OF NATO!
I don't why you war hawks don't understand any of this. Maybe you are living with your parents & don't pay any income taxes - who knows. Lol
Start looking into the backgrounds of the human scum (Nuland and husband Kagan, and his brother) in this article, and you realize these people have long had ulterior motives, and we’ve once again been duped by our government. Anytime the propaganda arms (MSM) have to continuously state “…unprovoked war”, you know the truth is actually “provoked [by us].”
Unfortunately this time, it’s the people of Ukraine who have to physically suffer. Ukraine has been destroyed. A majority of the population do not even have power. Tens of thousands of their troops have been killed (the ones that didn’t first surrender/run away, as many did early on).
All so the U.S. Military Industrial Complex can expand its reach. This is the culmination of years of U.S. politicians (and their children) and lobbyists “doing work” in Ukraine. And then we still had to send $90B!! LOL

Oh look, another “The West MADE Russia invade Ukraine” idiot. Are you saying that Putin so dumb that the West played him like a f*cking fiddle? And 70,000 Russians are dead as a result? 1500 Russian tanks have been captured or destroyed? The Moskva got turned into a submarine? The Russian military has been humiliated repeatedly? Man, $90B (much of which was not sent to Ukraine) sounds like a bargain to expose Russia as a third-world sh*thole and set them back 20 years.

The dude has balls! The other day there were reports that Bahkmut may have finally fallen, but today, here's Zelinsky himself there handing out medals. Incredible!
Play with blood and mud and don't be surprised when it splashes right back in your face, comrade.
It is one thing to be a Russian citizen without access to opposing viewpoints and drenched a flood of Putin's fascist propaganda to take your pro-genocide position, but those of you who seek out this garbage narrative when the actual facts are clear to any rational person in the West...it is you who are the lowest of the low. Parasites in the countries that have given you freedom, liberty and access to all viewpoints...and you choose such garbage.

Or could it be, that you are a citizen of a parasitic country that spends hundreds of billions a year on military budget so it can rape and pillage almost entire world without consequences?
Just because the rich and powerful of your country have gained unfathomable amounts of blood drenched money this way and smallest parts of it trickle down to you, does not mean you have moral superiority.
Western values are hypocritical garbage. Putin has not done anything NATO hasn't done in the last 20 years, so you can get off your high horse.

Poor little Lolly… “but, but, but, what about…!” Speaking of countries that have gained unfathomable amounts of blood drenched money, Switzerland is at the top of the list.
How much land has NATO annexed in the last 20 years? So, you can get off your insignificant little Swiss pony.
All signs indicate that Putin is preparing a long game to try to outlast Western support for Ukraine and in hopes that a large spring offensive will finally break Ukraine's military. Putin did not give his annual press conference/Q&A session. That is a big deal for Putin. It is usually Putin's big chance to speak directly to his supporters and in the past has been a pretty effective piece of propaganda. Also, Putin traveled to Belarus to meet with Lukashenko. For the past two years, it has always been the reverse. Lukashenko comes to Moscow to pay his respects to Putin and beg for Russia's support. Lukashenko was nearly overthrown in 2021 and owes everything to Russia's intervention on his side. But now, Putin seems to clearly be looking for help from Lukashenko in what may be a spring offensive to try and again take Kyiv.
Moldova is also waring of a Russian offensive to try to connect Transnistria with Crimea. Russia is also trying to reignite a conflict between Serbia and Kosovo in an effort to distract and divide NATO. Serbia has to get NATO permission to deploy police and troops in northern Kosovo where there is currently a game of instigation and reprisals between ethnic Serbs and Kosovo police and military. Russia's fingerprint is all over this and looks remarkably like the initiation of the Donbas war.
In Russia, police have been warned that they need to keep a bag packed in case of another mobilization.
On the battlefield, Russia is seeing no progress and may be losing ground in Kreminna as Bakhmut holds.
My guess is that the plan in Russia is to hold the line and try to exhaust UA forces over the winter. Then, this spring (or perhaps on the anniversary of the invasion), launch an all in offensive with attacks from the north via Belarus, the south along Odesa to try to connect a land bridge with Transnistria and hope that UA has to move forces from the east to allow RU to retake territory lost in the UA fall counter offensive. But the big question is what would Russia be able to do now that it wasn't able to do at the outset of the war that would make this actually a successful offensive? Again, I think RU's strategy is Stalingrad. RU thinks that wars are won not by discipline, tactics, strategy and execution. RU thinks that wars are won by a willingness to make extreme sacrifices to such a degree that RU simply outlasts their opponents.

I agree with your general assessments, but it’s not clear the Russian troops are any better equipped to deal with the winter than Ukrainian forces (and recently mobilized Russian forces are much less likely to have sufficient gear to fight in the winter). Either way, I think the winter will be decisive- if Ukraine can launch another successful counteroffensive, Russia attempts and fails or succeeds to take Kyiv, etc…
Russia surrenders and Putin has an accident near a window in 2023.
Did Russia capture Kyiv yet? No (Russian military got humiliated when they tried.) Demilitarize Ukraine? No. Ukraine’s military is more modern and powerful than any point in the last 30 years.
Weaken NATO? No. Finland and Sweden are joining, massively expanded Russia’s border with NATO. Ukraine’s efforts to join NATO have probably been accelerated by a decade or more.
p.s. How’d Russia do at the World Cup?
So the US and Ukraine have taken over Moscow? How is that going?
More Russian failure. You people are truly inept. It's just the Russian way of life.

In case anybody was wondering, the video I just watched confirms that anti-tank guided missiles work really well at killing Wagner Nazis. A dozen more Russian families that got what they deserved for Christmas. Hopefully they send Putin a thank you card.

One or more military bases and/or prisons in every NATO destroyed country. Against the countries will, of course.
Btw, I am not saying Switzerland is not guilty of washing that blood drenched money. Yet the blood drenching is done by NATO and more specifically by the US.
Why not just be honest and say how it is: "We want to destroy Russia and be the lone empire of the world"? Because this "caring" about Ukrainians is purely hypocritical, as you did not care about Afghani, Iraqi, Irani, Syrians, Lybians and many more.
