All right then...when will Ukraine/U.S./NATO invade Russia destroying Putin's forces with the objective of conquering Moscow, where the Russian war machine can be dismantled along with Putin & his military commanders arrested & tried for war crimes?

Since I've heard nothing but how incompetent & embarrassing the Russian military & leadership is - this should be a very easy task for Ukrainian forces to march right into Moscow with little resistance. Who knows the Russian military might just lay down their arms & surrender without a fight. According to you military experts here, supposedly the modern day Russian military is nothing but a complete joke & couldn't defeat a third-world army. Lol.

The objective of a "war" is to win by conquering your opponent into an unconditional surrender, dismantling their military forces & removing the country's leadership from power. This is basically how wars have been fought & won over the history of mankind.

After the Battle of Stalingrad, which has been described as the greatest defeat in the history of the German army, the Soviets pressed on with the objective of invading & conquering Germany, destroying the Nazi war machine & removing Hitler from power (Hitler would not surrender & eventually committed suicide). After the Normandy landings (D-day), the Western Allies pressed on through France & Belgium invading German from the West with the same objective of the Soviets - dismantling the Nazi war machine, prosecuting Hitler for war crimes, etc.

Unless Ukraine/U.S./NATO do the same there will be no winning this war where the Russian war machine stays operational & Putin remains in power free from any war crime prosecution.

What a silly post. Different wars have different objectives. The objective of a smaller country like Ukraine being invaded by a larger more powerful country like Russia would be to repulse the invasion and secure the territorial integrity of the country. Ukraine's goal is to survive, which they've done so far, and secondly to reclaim all lost territory, which they're trying to accomplish now.

C'mon, Ukraine isn't going to "secure territorial integrity" unless the Russian military is taken down & destroyed. Russia is 143 million population vs 43 million for Ukraine. Russia can replenish their manpower resources at a far greater degree than Ukraine can - if there's even any fighting capable men left in that country. Russia also has a greater industrial capacity than Ukraine has. Russia can back off - regroup/reorganize - and replenish manpower. As long as the Russian war machine is operational & Putin is in charge, Ukraine can't defeat Russians.

And there's the matter of the war crimes. If Putin is guilty of war crimes, then he should be tried before an international tribunal. Though Hitler committed suicide hundreds of his high command of both the regular German army & the Waffen-SS were tried & convicted of war crimes - with many being sentenced to death. If Putin isn't tried for crimes, he gets the last laugh & will continue to harm civilians without any second thought.

I saw on my newsfeed just today that Ukraine took another big hit from Russian missiles on their capital's infrastructure with more civilian casualties reported. That's more people without power & water, and more people being displaced from the homes. How much longer can Ukraine put up with this? How many civilians have be killed before Ukraine comes to it's senses & capitulates?

Fun & games is over. This isn't a video game. No Superheros are going to come out of the sky & save Ukraine. The U.S. & NATO isn't going to declare war on Russia & start WW3. Ukraine needs to capitulate & end this nonsense. Enough is enough.
