3.5 miles/h is a very low number for the first 12 hours of a 7 day race. She should have run 5-6 miles/h easily for the first half day, if she would be as good as claimed.

But the fact is of course that she is not that good of a runner not even close. In her 53 marathon thing she wasn't even able to get that done according to some witnesses. And there are not even Strava files for that.

That's the reason why some people are digging into the details with the 53 foundation. It will be interesting to see what will come out of that investigation.

Yeah but, if the "53 marathons in 53 days" is a fraud, cheat, con, whatever you want to call it, then dishonesty was involved and it leaves a bad taste in the mouth, and the "but it was for charity" doesn't wash and she using it in other areas of her life to make a living.

Chances are if she is prepared to cheat in that and the treadmill stuff then other areas are open to scrutiny. FMD that whole website of hers and all the work with me bullshit on TV, motivational speaking, PR, her charity, etc, etc is based on her amazing running abilities, which we here and on the UK Ultra Running FB site know is complete and total rubbish.

I just ran the program on Amy Hughes first day YouTube live stream (Sept 1) and it calculates an average speed of 5.08 mph covering 11.2 miles over 2h11m55s. However, her average speed peaked at 5.45 mph at about the 1h09m35s mark after covering 6.32 miles and then kept dropping from there because of slowering running. I would expect her average speed from the first day to keep dropping off as the day progressed like with the other videos if we had access to all the footage.

I still don't get how Amy Hughes could even claim a record for her 53 marathons given that the record is for official marathon races, which she did none of. If she wanted to claim unofficial marathons then that record is a much bigger. I found two of her MapMyRun recordings for two of those 53 marathons and those two look like legit runs but haven't been able to get access to any other recordings.

And we're back to the real issue. She failed to do this. And no amount of complaining on their end will fix it. She should get over it and plan on doing it again and documenting it the right way.

495.3 miles is the best scenario calculation of what Amy Hughes did based on the videos available with a decent amount of benefit for her in the calculations. If we get all the videos and we see her average speed asymptote to about 3.45 mph like I theorize from her 12 hour videos, then the mileage she actually did could be as low as 476.1 miles based on 20 hours of activity per day. And it could be as low as 455.4 miles if we use 19 hours of activity per day from her claimed range of 18-20 hours per day.

And it could be much worse if the other live stream videos show more cheating at night.

I believe Amy Hughes was fully aware of what was going on and the numbers she is claiming since in the Sarah Williams podcast, Amy shows she knew she was not on track to break the record going into day 5 and then she claims to have done several fast 5k/10k runs at night the following two days to get ahead of the record. Those kind of multiple miracle fast runs just doesn't happen without the runner knowing.

Won't happen, she knows she can't do it ligit and knows she can't get anywhere near it and that she'd just be setting herself up for a fall. Better for her to say she was robbed the first time round and keep up the "Holder of WR awaiting Guinness clarification, blah, blah, blah" and keep getting attention and the sympathy vote from the gullible.

Her and Dave will find something else to come up with though, just as the Reading's have done, while at the same time blaming the truth seekers.

I've updated the JustPasteIt with the 473.6 mile lower bound calculation for what the video analysis shows Amy Hughes' could have done just so that people don't think that the 495.3 miles as the only number I think is realistic:

I do not at all believe her claim that she ran at about 5.59 mph for several hours into the 5th/6th day of her treadmill run with so much fatigue. None of the analysis of the live stream videos supports that she is capable of this or even did it.

You're forgetting that Amy was doing speed work during those 350 mile training weeks.

No doubt that helped her drop the hammer when the necessity arose.

That's exactly what she claimed, like in her podcast interview with Sarah Williams. And the 12-hour Sept. 6th YouTube video we have covers one of the nights she claims to have done those fast runs but it shows nothing of the sort. It can be checked by looking at the graph plotting the total average speed versus time for that video from the spreadsheet breakdown of the treadmill revolution detection.

What if Millet realeases all 24/7 of live-steaming and it turns out she did only sleep 3 hours/night and do some fast 10ks on day 5, and did in fact set a world record, and Guiness decides SW's computer algorithm is good enough for them, and they certify the record?

Amy and Dave failed to provide prove. There were no witnesses, there are no notes, no 24/7 live streaming, nothing.

Just a big bold claim.
