We have a new 2024 vaccine thread here. New people don't need to try to wade through 20,000 posts to figure out what is going on.
I presume you meant "fall/winter 2021 at the latest" rather than 2020 in the above, which have clearly been sensible, at least in retrospect, had the population not been "covid naive" either from vaccination or prior infection. It's less clear given the reality of large regions of covid naivety when the delta wave came along.
But this isn't what they did. As more evidence came out they attacked it, silenced it, and canceled those daring to speak it. And they doubled down on their fascist policies. Kept travel, business, trade shows, etc. locked down and canceled for 2 years. This nearly killed my business. I had to fire more than 20 people. For what?
Even now, the CDC is renewing their requirement to have all foreigners be vaccinated with at least one of the current shots to enter the US.
We do have to apologize to all the loser sh^t small businesses out there that needed to sh^t the bricks 🧱/ sh^t the bed temporarily (or permanently) due to the public health recommendations and the lower level branches of local governments then choosing which types of recommendations to apply and which to not apply. since there are going to be future pandemics maybe small business owners need to take that into consideration and plan for it, and be grateful when the federal government offers loans to stay afloat until the storm passes so to speak

My guess is that with the next one that comes along, public trust is so bad that I don’t think anyone’s gonna listen to what anybody says. so basically, the approach will probably be here are the recommendations (do this if you don’t want to get sick and possibly die) but never a mandate. (In a country like the United States, nobody wants to be told what to do, and if people are told what to do, it can often have the opposite of intended effect).

As a normal healthy person with no known health conditions, my primary care physician recommended I get a bivalent booster at the conclusion of my annual physical- administered right then and there-which makes me wonder - just wondering:
1) what do guys who don’t like the vaccine (such as in this LR discussion), it’s a free country where no one is forcing to get it- say to their own primary care physician?
2) Do you guys have any stories as to what you told them or the pharmacist at the drug store, etc.? What was the reaction? Did they try to tell you about misinformation? Did you use any foul language?
At my wife's insistence, I had an appointment with my PCP 4 weeks ago. The doctor did not ask, but I mentioned that I did not get a Covid vaccine and was completely unvaccinated. Zero doses. Not a word from the doctor about it, just continued with the exam.
Well you know the saying: if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all! Good on the doc for being so professional

Did you sleep thru vaccine mandates? Many of which are still in place with many people out of a job due to refusing the jab. Colleges still have them in place. Public schools require @ 70 vaccines and are adding the jab
