Such a mistake to listen to our own medical doctors and get the bivalent booster? Why would that be? I know in the information age it is tough to navigate and distinguish reality and hallucinations.
As a normal healthy person with no known health conditions, my primary care physician recommended I get a bivalent booster at the conclusion of my annual physical- administered right then and there-which makes me wonder - just wondering:
1) what do guys who don’t like the vaccine (such as in this LR discussion), it’s a free country where no one is forcing to get it- say to their own primary care physician?
2) Do you guys have any stories as to what you told them or the pharmacist at the drug store, etc.? What was the reaction? Did they try to tell you about misinformation? Did you use any foul language?
Such a mistake to listen to our own medical doctors and get the bivalent booster? Why would that be? I know in the information age it is tough to navigate and distinguish reality and hallucinations.

At my wife's insistence, I had an appointment with my PCP 4 weeks ago. The doctor did not ask, but I mentioned that I did not get a Covid vaccine and was completely unvaccinated. Zero doses. Not a word from the doctor about it, just continued with the exam.
The masks were never effective in stopping the spread of covid and mask mandates made little to no difference. Children were never at any serious risk from covid. School shutdowns made no difference in stopping the spread, and did more harm than good. Economic lockdowns made no difference, doing more harm than good.
There was never any evidence of hospitals in the US being overwhelmed by covid patients (in fact, hospital admissions fell dramatically in 2020). There is also evidence that the number of deaths associated with covid were inflated by incidental covid infections; covid was blamed for deaths caused by other conditions.
There is no such thing as “Covid Heart” (heart failure caused by covid). The vaccines do not stop transmission of the virus. Vaccinated people still die from the virus. Natural immunity is more effective than the vaccines. The much hyped “pandemic of the unvaccinated” never happened. And yes, there is ample evidence of negative side effects including heart failure associated with the mRNA vaccines.
My neighbor just died yesterday. he had to take the vaccine to keep his job and he never felt good another day for the rest of his life after that. I hope he sues the hell out of the people that made him take that vaccine that might have killed him. and I hate lawyers but I hate Liberal elites and their vaccine more.

You can enter in keywords and questions and Google will provide you with many sites with information. You should try it rather than staying glued to CNN. I presume you meant "fall/winter 2021 at the latest" rather than 2020 in the above, which have clearly been sensible, at least in retrospect, had the population not been "covid naive" either from vaccination or prior infection. It's less clear given the reality of large regions of covid naivety when the delta wave came along.
Why don’t we all just accept the fact that there was some virus out there and it sucked for everyone whether you’re a republican or democrat. From my perspective, Public health authorities tried to do the best they could to protect, and as more data became available, adjusted the advice (what happens during a public health emergency.). If you are an adult and not a child, you need to take responsibility to keep yourself healthy when a sh^tty virus comes along that no one wants to deal with (but it came). Sometimes that means doing things you’d rather not have to do to keep yourself healthy, or instead deciding the public health officials are full of it and choosing to live on the razors edge if you think the virus is not serious and not listening to the recommendations (your choice). If you’re right, and you may have been right in this case at times, congratulations for living on the edge and determining for yourself that the risk is low and you survived with no lasting consequences , while others decided to listen to health advice and play it safe with what seems to be no negative consequences (so far.)
My guess is that with the next one that comes along, public trust is so bad that I don’t think anyone’s gonna listen to what anybody says. so basically, the approach will probably be here are the recommendations (do this if you don’t want to get sick and possibly die) but never a mandate. (In a country like the United States, nobody wants to be told what to do, and if people are told what to do, it can often have the opposite of intended effect).

I was talking to some Republican friends of mine. They are sensible Republicans, and not far right crazies. and they loved how there was zero traffic on the roads, stores weren’t crowded, and flights were incredibly cheap. Also, they loved the move to a work from home or a more hybrid schedule.
as someone leaning Democrat, I didn’t go out much or travel much to enjoy the zero traffic and the cheap flights, but I enjoyed the low interest rate environment and being able to take advantage of refinancing my mortgage. I also loved to the move to work from home or more hybrid schedule. I also love to have some restaurants really get in the habit of having outdoor Street dining and heated tents

Did you sleep thru vaccine mandates? Many of which are still in place with many people out of a job due to refusing the jab. Colleges still have them in place. Public schools require @ 70 vaccines and are adding the jab

But this isn't what they did. As more evidence came out they attacked it, silenced it, and canceled those daring to speak it. And they doubled down on their fascist policies. Kept travel, business, trade shows, etc. locked down and canceled for 2 years. This nearly killed my business. I had to fire more than 20 people. For what?
Even now, the CDC is renewing their requirement to have all foreigners be vaccinated with at least one of the current shots to enter the US.

my understanding is the hospitals were not overflowing in a lot of parts of the country, but NYC early in the pandemic and in parts of Texas and Louisiana and In the south later on in the pandemic, it was overflowing.

Honest Q, how many people are "out of a job" due to vax mandates. I remember that the United Airlines (a private company choosing to do business a certain way) vaccine mandate had 97% compliance or something. This wasn't some large swath of society that was excluded.
