In this hyper partisan world, people don't want a call from a president they voted against.
It goes both ways. Anti-Trump sports champions didn't want to meet Trump.
It's good that these people hear from someone.
I know he may say some nasty things about Biden in the calls, but it's not like these are swing voters.
So there, something positive about Trump from a liberal Democrat.
A little late to pretend he has any empathy but yes a positive move. A couple of the other few things I gave him credit for were the public pushback on China. Sure he had zero strategy and fumble the heck out of the tariffs, but still spoke out against unfairness. The other was pulling out of Syria and in general not wanting any armed conflict. The Syria pullout was a total disaster but again at least he got us out.
