He just shoved his nuts down all your throats. Pathetic. Crickets here. You’d be all over this thread if he failed. Greatest Leadville runner of all time.
He’s a great runner. He’s a terrible racer.
Thats how many criticize him. So running in a race with thin competition only reinforces the stereotype.
Weird flex.
Wait so who won Javelina last year? Remind me of that please? Who came in second? Who came in third? What has second and third done this year? Fastest western debut ever and cocodona 250 winner. Yeah he can race against competition and win. Geez
There's no question that was a strong performance. He is very good at running, and especially good at running up high. Some genetic variant, I do not recall the specifics, but he's mentioned it on the podcast.
I do not think the wider running world is going to celebrate this in the same way the Roches will.
Personally I find the podcast far less interesting when it's all about them so I hope this doesn't turn into unending episodes all about this year's Leadville.

You’re a super fan, huzzah! I think it’s an impressive run, he’s a good runner sometimes, and he’s an insecure conman all the times..
I was always kind of kidding about David being Claude but the fact that Claude was silent today of all days while David was running, while the threat got super active, is definitive for me. Pathetic.
runforthehillz is apparently an ER doctor who managed to diagnose David’s concussion and its effects as being very mild. He is a true genius. You should listen to him.
Did David not have fears while pushing himself at 12500’ about not being there for his kids, or is that a thought that only crosses his mind when he isn’t in the lead?

I love how you write in English but all I read is “I am an illiterate fool who couldn’t tie my shoe if my life depended on it and I need my mommy to wipe my bottom and look at me everyone, look at me! I must be the center of attention at all times or I’ll literally explode” 🤯 What a total freak show

Very apt description of David. Good work. The cult members all take any comment about their hero so personally. All you mean Trump supporting, jealous, incel, illiterates are so mean to David. Tears.
if any other runner got blown out of the water at a marathon or track meet then came back to run that much faster with absolutely 0 competition everyone would be screaming doper usually…

But, but… what about David’s uNiQuE pHySiOlOgY and love and carbs and the wild science of heat training in an altitude chamber while running on a Wahoo treadmill at 15% grade and slurping AG1. MaSsIvE bReAkThRoUgHs!!

At this point I would help crowdfund 4-5 top runners to enter Javelina just to keep this blowhard off the WSER starting line next year. David is a super talented runner for sure, but I have never seen someone cherry pick races better than he does. Waits until the top level talent is in Chamonix or prepping for Worlds before toeing the line at Leadville.
David, you want to do something impressive? Snag that golden ticket at CCC, Tarawera or Black Canyon where you’ll have others pushing you all day.

You apparently don’t understand the criticism. If he’s not winning after the first third of the race…the end.
Yesterday was a hell of a run. And for sure, one way to make sure you don’t have competition is to run so fast they are an hour behind you.
