Jacob Dinerman in 2nd place with a PR of 4:09. Interesting story about a guy who was very good in high school and is now back in college after a few years away. A real d3 good story.
Sounds like a DOPE race.
Congrats to Jacob on his win.
I believe you mean congrats to Kevin Matthews. Dinerman was a freshman in college when Kevin was in 7th grade. Natural, not unc, and fast = People’s champ. (He lowk frump tho)

First heat of the mile was won in 4:31 -- last place in 5:40. Not quite the Big 12.
Fast heat up now...
SC wins the 2026 NJAC mile in 4:02.8

The story is finished, has passed legal approval and is finally 100% ready to be published. The story will come out Monday morning. Thanks your patience.
We decided to not publish it at 4:30 on a Friday. People are ready to head home and unwind. Plus it would come out in the middle of the conference meet. We don't want to create a public spectacle. Personally I wish this had come out much earlier but we really wanted to be thorough here.
You should release it to supporters club members on Sunday. Conference meet would be over by then.
The article essentially says he is from NJ, lists hs times, went to ISU, wasn't a contributor, had one great race, got suspended, transferred to Rowan, made large improvement, is subject of lots of speculation but no proof. Who wants to bet that there will be nothing substantiatively different, just more words?

Ran JV at Missouri. His 23:42 was 9th on the team. Varsity didn't race the next meet at Nuttycombe. He isn't bumping guys who he never had beaten on the track or in XC.

Didn't his coach come out say he was probably a lock for Nationals based off Nuttycombe?

Seth Clevenger, newly sporting a Rowan jersey after transferring from Iowa State, has just broken the D3 record in the men’s 5k. The previous record of 13:44 was held by JCU’s Alex Phillip set in 2023. 📸: photosbyspark
We keep talking about SC but if Im being honest the MIT track and field team has a 4:01 and 4:02 miler + a 1:49 guy and you're telling me their mid-distance squad isn't fishy. And even looking back at Ryan wilson everyone around him got fast. The power of friendship isn't that powerful!
MIT is pretty consistently ranked as the best college in the world. It's not fishy that they are able to attract high level D3 athletes.
