It's sad, but this is what hyper-partisanship and incredible media bias gets you. He's a gay, black man, an outspoken critic of the President, and thought this would bring him to a whole new level of spotlight. Well, it has alright, and now the liar is going down.
So lying only counts if you are gay and black and criticize the president? If you are the president it doesn't count?

Smollett made a false police report and committed multiple acts of perjury.

She is in deep stuff and is trying to dig her way out the Al Sharpton way. Yes , it's wrong.
The Media is portraying her as an activist judge . She is and the photo pretty much confirms that.
What she should do is compare herself to the Judges lawyers and friends of Epstein and start griping about what an unfair system it is to target her and not them. Surround herself with all colors and genders of people and photo op and publicize that agenda. Not that I don't think they are all scumbags.

Trump supporters beating up gay actors in Chicago on their way to Subway at two in the morning? Or was Mr. Smollett drawing attention to the increase of Nigerian bodybuilders-turned-actors prowling the streets of Chicago prepared to fake a hate crime for the right price?
There are zero things noble about staging an attention-grabbing hoax with yourself framed as a victim, at the expense of taxpayer-funded police man-hours. You can’t invoke cases like Emmitt Till (which Seals did) or invoke other black men getting the book thrown at them and expect to be taken seriously.
However, there is one small accomplishment that Smollett can put under his belt during all of this. He did manage to find a Subway in Chicago that was open at two in the morning and was within walking distance. A small miracle, I suppose.

1044 days later and we are finally set for closing arguments and jury deliberations today. Looks like he will be convicted and, despite facing up to three years in jail, he will probably just get probation and community service. Next for Jussie is the civil lawsuit filed against him by the city to reimburse it for the cost of the investigation.
His attorney pushed for a mistrial, accusing the judge of “lunging” at her. She left huge courtroom in tears with her mother while trial was still going on.
Jussie claims the brothers are making it all up because they don’t like him and want money.
He denies the hoax under oath.
Does anyone tell the truth at all anymore?
I think it just boils down to IQ....An icredibly dumb person might believe him...
Jury is deliberating and the rumor is a verdict could come at any moment.
