The citizenship is certainly to blame. No doubt.

But think about this for a moment.

Why was Trump permitted to run for a 2nd term? That is the fault of corrupt people in government. He should have been impeached twice and convicted twice. one time would have disqualified him. He incited an insurrection to overturn the last election which disqualified him from being on the ballot under several states constitution but his corrupt SCOTUS nixed that. His criminal indictments were all killed off for him. A Florida judge literally threw out his espionage case against judicial precedent. He was granted immunity in direct contradiction to the constitution that says a President could face criminal charges.

All of this fed perfectly into Trumps spin that they are all fake news witch hunts.

So if you are a low information voter that knows nothing you assume that Trumps narrative has to be true. After all, why is he allowed to run if these things were true?

It is time to shift blame from Trump voters to the many that did not do their job in government and kicked the can down the road.

The shamelessness of it never ceases to amaze me. "We Back the Blue, and love our veterans, and...."

Oh, Trump mocked McCain - and all POWs - for getting caught?

That's OK.

Oh, Trump sprung a riot against the capitol that injured hundreds of cops, and he's been supporting those rioters ever since?

That's OK.

And denigrate the FBI, and the entire U.S. intelligence community, and plenty of generals, and......

Trumpers are PERFECT fake patriots.

I can do both. And everyone should.

Of course countless GOP Senators, Congressman, etc., etc., etc. deserve tons of negative credit for Trumpism. In fact, unfortunately, the easiest way to quantify it is those who DID do the right thing. Cheney, Kinzinger, Romney (MAYBE), and very, very few others. Sad.

I wonder if the U.S. staff at the various NATO HQs will need to be split in half? Half to plan attacks against NATO, and half to plan defenses against U.S. attacks on NATO??

I never appreciated how many people are clueless of Trumps criminality. They aren’t Trumpers. They are just super low information voters.

Tens of millions of people like this. And they just assumed Trump was okay because he was allowed to run for President. They figured surely our government wouldn’t allow Trump to run if he was a criminal.

Try to have a conversation with an average citizen about Trumps indictments or his impeachments and they will look at you like you are discussing quantum physics.

And they are right! Our government should have done its job.

Absolutely!! There's NOTHING worse than leaders who think that they're above the law !!!

You're really giving those people a pass for not knowing that Trump was a convicted felon on the day of the election?

Or, they knew he was, but somehow still being on the ballot meant.....what? He wasn't REALLY a felon because he was on the ballot?

Again, the answer is both. Loathsome/cowardly public officials/politicians, and a shamefully ignorant and/or unprincipled citizenry.
