And the reason we look to other countries is because of our countries inability to track data on vaccines compared to places like Israel, the UK and Canda. Data from the US is an absolute joke, as one hand does not know what the other hand is doing because of US privacy laws.

If we look at the severely ill chart grouped by immunization for the over 60s, we see that the unvaxxed are succumbing at 12x the rate.

For deaths, the data is noisier but ~10x on average.

Vaccines are working outstandingly well in israel.

I'm sure the fearmongers here will shriek: "what about cases!!1" and the fact is Omicron breaks through nearly all prior immunity against mild disease (except boosters and hybrid), nobody disputes this.

And yes, I had to learn Hebrew to cash my Soros-bucks.

COVID-19: Israel sees highest number of serious cases since start of pandemic

The truth is in the middle. The vaccines provide some protection, but no longer the level of protection most of the vaccine advocates proclaim, primarily because vaccines are no longer neutralizing an initial infection. The whole reason many highly vaccinated areas (Israel, Australia, Finland, Greece, Canada, etc.) are reaching or exceeding record weekly deaths compared to the rest of the pandemic is because of the sheer volume of people being infected (vaccinated and unvaccinated alike). The reason the overall CFR is declining (in spite of the increasing number of deaths) is a greater percentage of the population has either had a vaccination or has had a previous infection. That is why the disparity in performance between the vaccinated and unvaccinated has narrowed dramatically over time as a bulk of the unvaccinated have had a previous infection at this point at the same time that vaccines are no longer stopping infections (which is why two shot efficacy against hospitalizations has dropped from 95% earlier in the pandemic to closer to 30-35% (which is a decline in efficiency of about 13 times). The reality is 70% or more of hospitalized cases during the omicron wave were vaccinated individuals because 70% or more of the population is vaccinated. A previously infected individual does not perform any worse than a boosted individual with regards to hospitalization or death. The reason that the vaccinated appear to have worse outcomes at this point is now that the denominator is so low among the unvaccinated, a small percentage of vaccinated hospitalizations or deaths that are incorrectly filed with the unvaccinated (which happens even in areas with the most accurate accounting), skews the statistics dramatically.

Almost every last one of them were not fully vaccinated. Over 900K have died in the United States. Why are people still debating this? Not being fully vaccinated at this point is asinine.

If 2,500 people died daily from anything new, we would have an all out war and effort to stop it, not to mention the millions who were hospitalized. Covid19 is the 3rd leading cause of death in the United States in 2020 and 2021.

Fourth COVID vaccine still doesn’t stop Omicron, new Israeli study shows

Even a fourth shot of a COVID-19 vaccine is “not good enough” to prevent Omicron, according to a preliminary study in Israel.

Sheba Hospital last month tested a fourth shot given to more than 270 medical workers, with 154 getting the Pfizer jab and 120 receiving Moderna.

The researchers revealed Monday that both groups showed a “slightly higher” increase in antibodies than after the third shot — but still not enough to prevent Omicron, the latest variant responsible for the vast majority of infections around the world.

“Despite increased antibody levels, the fourth vaccine only offers a partial defense against the virus,” said Dr. Gili Regev-Yochay, director of the hospital’s infection disease unit leading the study.

The study saw “many infected with Omicron who received the fourth dose,” she said. “Granted, a bit less than in the control group, but still a lot of infections.”

Joe why do you keep obsessing over 2 dose numbers when it’s 3 doses provides much better protection. This is extremely common. Most vaccines take multiple boosts to have durable efficacy… against pathogens with less antigenic mutation than COVID!
