All of these people were either old or fat AF.

And *I* notice that deaths from COVID-19 are actually being undercounted.

Nope. Assuming your stats are correct, that would mean .02%, not .002%

The point I was trying to make is that only 1 out of every 5000 Americans have died from this.

One out of 110 Americans will die this year. Covid deaths represent 1/40th of this.

And--always positing your stats are correct (it actually appears that COVID-19 deaths are being undercounted a bit)--your point is well taken: Only one American out of about five thousand has died from the novel coronavirus.
SO FAR.
So far? That is not how stats work. The population at the start of the Covid outbreak is not the same as at the end. I can say that 1 million have died from the flu which is true but I can't honestly state that 1 in 330 have died from it.
Health experts are worried about Men that have recently been intimate with Madonna and are trying to locate approximately 150 individuals...
This is a killer of older, fat, diabetic, folks with breathing issues.
The number of dead people not fitting that description is so minor it's not worth considering, and EVERY time I see a sob story on the news about someone "young" with no other health factors dying, I'm not amazed to see photos of them at twice their recommended weight.
States are opening, more will begin dying, and we'll be losing an increasing number of older, fat, diabetic, folks with breathing issues for a while to come.
Why does the OP want celebrities to die?
There have been notable people that have died from COVID-19 these past six weeks. Someone has already posted the list here. I know people that have died and several people in my relatively small suburban community have died.
All these COVID deniers have been downplaying COVID-19 saying it's not deadlier than seasonal flu. So, my question is where are all the celebrities that die from flu each year? Every year, year after year, no one. But, with COViD in just a few weeks several notable deaths, and several people I and my family have known have died.
^This
I'm sure they don't even know that Boris Johnson was in critical condition from COVID
From how OP sound they are simply ignorant

If a notable person dies from the flu it is usually reported as "died of natural causes", as it should be with this virus.
Technically my mom died of COPD, but she had been declining from Alzheimers for years. Natural causes.
I would go so far as to list most of these covid deaths as attributable to metabolic syndrome, as 99% of them are. Not-so natural causes.
The difference is that nearly all deaths from Covid are to fat old people while the flu kills many children. One kills the innocent and the other kills people who chose their lifestyle. Our decisions to interrupt the food supply will result in millions of additional children dying. Those deaths were caused and could be viewed as murder.

So the flu death numbers that you rely on to make your case are just made up? You treat those flu death statistics like Gospel while you downplay COVID numbers. The COVID deaths I'm hearing about include people in they're 40s and 50s. That doesn't happen with season flu.
Trump’s a celebrity! If he was dead, would we notice any difference?
You should review the stats. Deaths from Covid 19 are to fat old people while the flu kills innocent children.
Congratulations on winning the Thick As Pigshit award.
To be fair to the OP I am slightly surprised at the amount of venom this thread appears to be generating.
I myself am a little surprised we haven't seen at least one chubby A lister, irrespective of ethnicity, taken by this terrible disease.
