I think you have lined your own pockets by working in the swamp of ripping off customers for too long to see clearly.
You cannot point to a single case where this blanket "no refund" policy has been upheld. Stop trying to claim that this is settled law. These clauses are not enforceable, as evidenced by the fact that they are not enforced when challenged.
You are being intellectually dishonest. The no refund clauses are there to protect the race from situations where the race takes place but a paying individual is not able to run (whether it be due to injury, sickness, schedule conflict, or another race). The clause is also to protect people from asking for a refund just because they didn't enjoy the experience.
The clause here is being used as a "screw you" to paying racers when the entire race is cancelled. That's highly unethical and isn't what the clause was designed for.
The greed of this race in such a difficult time is abominable. The government is literally sending 1200 dollar checks to everyone because times are so hard financially. This organization BRAGS about being a kind, generous, caring and selfless non-profit but when push comes to shove they have an opportunity to show their true nature in a time of need and all we see is GREED, SELFISHNESS AND THIEVERY.
