OMG the runner from Aruba stopping the watch...
That was the most retarded thing I've ever seen.
He really stopped his watch after literally falling over the other athlete. Funniest thing i have seen on the track since benabbad tried to fight that guy.
Guess he needs the Strava segment?

Filip isn't unknown to DQs in qualifiers either and is really inexperienced in the 5k.
Henrik shouldn't even be starting here with his bad hip and toe.
With several of the fastest runners missing it would be a huge anti climax with none of these hyped brothers in the final..
Jakob caused the collision by trying to pass inside with now space. If someone challenges it he’ll be DQ’ed. And I say that as a fan of his.
He needs to be out, or this gets even more ridiculous than it is. We can hope Chelimo runs the last corner inside the rail now or something.

Yep. I think this is a pretty straight forward DQ. It was totally unnecessary, also - there was no need to pass on the inside like that. Hopefully he learns not to panic in the future.
On what lap? Didn't see anything wrong.
Chelimo loses a shoe at about the 9 minute mark of the second heat.

I agree with you. Straightforward DQ. I'm not sure he panicked . I think he was being lazy and too cute, trying to hug the rail and then doing an inside pass. He didn't have room to pass there. It came on a turn.
Here is a video:

So have you seen it several times or just on the one replay that was shown because so far the only ridiculous thing here is your comment.
I've only seen the Jakob stepping on the inside once, so need to look at it again to before I can comment.
Rest assured someone will protest and he will be DQed if it was his own mistake.
DQ would be excessive. He was bumped and jostled the whole race by the doppers who fear him. It would be a shame for the fastest clean athlete in the world to be excluded from the final.

Not sure. I saw the replay after the race but I didn't see it in real time. He tried to pass someone on the inside when there was no space to do so on straightaway. He ended up getting off balance since the runner he was passing held his position (rightfully so) and stepped off the track for 3 steps. DQ.

IAAF results site still doesn't have results up from heat 1, which suggests that someone is protesting.
2nd heat 5K Do all of first 10 advance?

Filip spoke with Chelimo after the race, probably apologizing for clipping him mid-race.
If god-tier clean athlete Jakob I is denied entry to the final because of some protesting fraud doping Italian coach I am going to LOSE IT. Track & field is already a totally phony clown world sport, this would just sink it further. EFF.
