I like his channel. Some of the content is a little goofy but so what? He's just an average college kid having a bit of fun with everything while still delivering some damn impressive results along the way. I think he's good for the sport and that he's probably inspiring a decent amount of high school kids out there too... not a bad thing.

No, he didn't. Interestingly, only ONE person in world history NAMED SPENCER ever ran sub-4:00. His name is Spencer Barden. He is English and he did it 21 years ago. Spencer Brown could be the 2nd in history.

Spencer Brown was a very good HS MD runner. He ran 49.21 / 1:50.88 / 4:13.29 as a senior. He ran 1:54.39 / 4:12.43 as a junior. There are several 1:50.point 800-runners every year and he is the one in ONE-HUNDRED that runs 3:39 four years later. Like I said before, 3:39 is great.

I get what you're trying to do here and in this case it makes sense. But when you post things like this, it completely undermines the projected anonymity of posting on this website.

He did at BU this year unattached. The track is obviously aided, but if Kejelcha gets to set a WR on it then I think it should be valid for PRs.

Spencer may go down as one of the all time greats. The last thing he needs is a wheel- then his career will be firmly cemented as one of the best milers to grace franklin field, along side names like Mike Starr, Marcus O'Sullivan, Jordy Williamsz, Edward Cherserek, Morgan Irish, and Pat Benetar. Just my 2 cents.

If the same user tried to hijack a thread with multiple postings with different usernames this shouldn't be allowed. This doesn't undermine the anonymity of other users who use one username in a thread, and a different username in another thread

You can frame it however you want to. I know after seeing this I'll not be giving as much traffic/posts to this website. I just value privacy and I would be okay with having registered usernames/etc., but I think it's disingenuous to project anonymity and then publicly offer to out one of those posters.

To clarify - I would be okay with him saying, "This guy/gal posted on all of the usernames from the same I.P. and is named/whatever."

But then to offer to give that information to another person seems to cross a line.

I don't think it crosses a line when an individual continually attacks a college athlete to let said college athlete know where that individual is posting from. But by all means, run away.
