It's slightly uncomfortable reading entries on that site where folks with mental health issues are targeted for cheating or banditing (which is like pretty much all of the folks featured on that site).
I suspect that you are being way more insulting by saying this than anything Derek has ever written, the only people I can think of that have given cause to say this are the ultra troll and the presumed partner of a triathlon cheat, the others seem to do it purely to pretend they are more accomplished runners than they are.

Why would any rational person cheat or habitually bandit and claim race medals and credit for completing the race they didn't legitimately sign up for? Why the hell would anyone pay someone to run a race for them? This group of cheaters is not in a super elite category with money or regional/national fame on the line. They're primarily mid-packers cheating to advance further mid-pack. What would a rational decision maker get from doing something like this?
They have a flawed character that likes the fact that they can boast about these "accomplishments", this is not the same thing as a mental illness.

They use IP and cookies. So even if you change your IP via proxy or VPN you can be tracked if you aren't actively managing both. They also block you from posting if you block cookies through your web browser.
