Will Puett be named new HC at UNCA?

Western is becoming distance focused?
Would be a shame because they’ve won their titles on sprint, jumps, and throws. They’re also the heavy favorites to win again in 2018!
Shouldn't a distance-focused coach do well coaching his discipline? Where was the improvement at UNCA? This is just an alum hire.
Puett is a good coach who has good relationships with the teams and with other coaches. Hire the guy. He's young.

Where were the resources to succeed?
And what were the expectations?
What kind of resources does it take to train 19:00 high school girls and 16:00 boys so that they improve respectably? A normal improvement curve for each ought to get you at least middle of the road in the Big South every single year.
The word is out.
Jesse Norman officially named Head Coach.
Finally. Thanks for the proof. Good hire.
Ashville’s loss.
Really?? Looks like Asheville barely scores points in the conference on the track and pretty close to last regionally in xc
Yes, they are terrible.

Yes, it’s not always about scoring points.

Then what is it about?
Everyone being best friends and getting cookout together after the meet.

Hey doesn't matter as long as the kids had fun
That administration does not care about winning in track. Most don't. Graduate kids, keep them out of trouble, give them a good experience, don't be last. If you can win along the way, great, but not a requirement. Jesse's expectation of success will be much higher than the admin because he's an alum of that program and he won't let it slip.
Why did reasonably fast kids stagnate under his training at Asheville?
