And the people who owned slaves are dead and buried and turned to dust, as are their children and their children's children. So can we stop talking about slavery and the inherent racism of the USA already? If you wanna talk about Jim Crow laws, the democrats who pushed those are also dead and buried. So stfu about racism already. This issue was on its death bed until Barak (my son would have looked like Trayvon) Obama did everything he could to revive it.
Celery...you can't be this blind. You sound intentionally obtuse. You sound a lot like DiscoGary....
You honestly believe Obama revived racism? You honestly believe that? The inherent racism IS and has always been here. People who supported Jim Crow laws are still alive today. You can't tell me that having a black president didn't motivate racists to be more vocal.
Here you are claiming that racism was dead before Obama. How? Give me examples, please. Not anecdotes, but population-wide statistics that show there is no racism in America.
That's easy. Give me a population wide statistic that shows that racism IS still a problem in the USA. As Hitchens said, if you can assert something without evidence, I can disregard it without evidence.
I'm not talking about psychology studies that show in-group preference, that is a fact of human nature, and has nothing to do with racism, and will never be changed anyway.
I'm also not talking about discrepancies between different sub-populations. That is also not evidence of racism because correlation does not equal causation. For example, I could show you that more men are incarcerated than women, but that would not prove that the laws are biased against men. Likewise, you can't show me that any minority group is worse off than the average and use it as proof that there is something systemically rigged against that minority group. Any discrepancy can be explained by the differential behavior of that sub-populations (like more men in prison because they commit more crimes). The discrepancy by itself does not prove there is a societal bias against them. You would have to show me a discrepancy AND correct for the behavior of the sub-population, to prove racism was still a major factor in USA society.
Are there a few old racist hear and there? Sure. But they have no power in society today. The racism issue is functionally dead. The spirit of racial division lives on in BLM and the other ways the Democrats are trying to use racial division to further divide the country and convince people that a larger government is needed as the messiah that will usher in a non-racist utopia. But it's all a lie meant to convince you to give up your freedom.
