Yawn. Wake me up when your post is over.

It is comical every time I see a post on ultra jogging. It is not even close to the scale of competition to real running events that actually have real competition. That's great that you are passionate about it, but for the rest of us, it is a snooze fest. There are 50 athletes graduating from college each year that are capable of exceeding this CR, but most of them simply choose to have lives after college.
Walmsey has stated that he's going to run a Half shortly to get his OTQ for Atlanta 2020. It is well-known among Hoka and the NAZ Elite crew that he is a 2:11 marathoner.
He has openly stated that he's not going to do any specific 'thon training as it's all part of his build up for UTMB and longer ultra races. But given the current state of US marathoning, he's probably the odds on favorite to finish second and make the Olympic team. Which would be the greatest day in LRC history - an Olympic marathoning squad featuring Rupp and Walmsey - the site would crash for sure.........

Careful, your insecurity over your tiny penis is showing.

Yeah, 50 guys every year graduate from college with the opportunity to continue participating in the sport they've devoted their entire lives to and earning a living travelling around the world running on some of the most breathtakingly beautiful courses in the world, but they all manage to find something more fulfilling to do with their time. Ok.
I'm not saying some world class runners couldn't potentially beat Jim, but just don't have an incentive to because they're already very successful in other events, but to say that every former D1 guy that is currently selling insurance somewhere in middle America could be smashing records and getting paid to run is pretty dumb. If they could beat him, they would be out there beating him.
With that being said, I do hope purses are increased and more talented is drawn into the sport. I'd love to see more guys with Jim's talent competing.

No. Not even close.
The 2nd and 3rd spots for the Olympics are wide open for the men. I'd give Walmsley a solid shot as any to make the 2020 Olympic team in the marathon.

Every dude I lift with has the work ethic that they could easily, easily, run a sub 2 hour marathon if they wanted. They are all way stronger and way more dedicated than little girly runner boys. But they don't want to be a skinny little b8tch so they don't train for it. It's specifically the weak little girly boys who go into running as a sport because they are small little dudes who can't do a real sport. All running records would fall if real men decided they wanted to try.

Can you link to the results where he ran 2:11?
Get off his nuts, dude. It's creepy.

OK I like Walmsley again. What an absolute beast!

Ha - this is almost as funny as Gwen's ludicrous statements!
Those who can’t hack it on roads or track go to the trails, never the reverse.

Jornet never raced on roads or track. He went straight to the trails and is untouchable.

It is well known that you and the dudes you hang out with have very small brains and are insecure little weenies.
Serious question: why isn't called ultra-jog-walk?
Serious question: Did you receive a lobotomy?

Stop obsessing over other poster's penis sizes and run a real race.
The Chicago marathon has an 88 degree day and it is a complete marathon apocalypse. It is 106 at Western States and Walmsley sets a course record.
