So if i poop on a run it’s due to poor planning or not being blessed? Hmm. Never thought if it that way.

A pair of Brooks compression socks. Poop in one, wipe with the other.
And THAT is all they are good for.
http://www.wusa9.com/news/jogger-nicknamed-mad-pooper-wanted-for-defecating-in-yards/477024401Wow, I have been running for almost 40 years and would have to stop and take a dump almost every morning. Not very often during the afternoon run. Done it everywhere and anywhere, between parked cars in NYC, in the bushes of the Lincoln Memorial, up against the Capital building in DC, you name it, I have dumped there.
At least you do not return for seconds
75% of the worlds population doesn’t use toilet paper.
Wipe what? Front or back? I think that makes a difference ?
Either one. Is there a difference in the wilderness as to what you would use?
Resurrecting in honor of poopgate
I don't bother to wipe. My explosive running poops generally don't leave much behind on me. My underwear isn't wedged in there, so generally doesn't get super dirty from poop residue on the rest of my run. Wipe and/or take a shower when I get home.
I think I'd rather not wipe (and shower when I get home plus wash all of my clothes) than wipe with sticks and rocks like some people are describing.
I had to poop pretty consistently when running, but it's been better since I started taking psyllium husk pills. I think I actually heard about them from LetsRun
The creek solution worked great for me one time when I made it to the finish and the creek was very nearby--out of sight under an overpass. But next best in my cases of "the runs" was the sock. And of course burying yr spoor. 🙄
What's a spoor? A poop?
If I had to wipe with something wild I think I'd like a large soft flexible leaf, maybe a dock leaf. I still don't think using rocks to wipe your bum is a good idea.
1 . snow (but seasonal so rarely a real option.)
2. moss
3. leaves
4. underwear
5. inexpensive shirt
6. no wipe
there is no way Im running w/o socks, so Id just forego the wipe before getting blisters.

Same here. If it's so bad I have to step off the trail and go before I can find a port o john etc.. then its usually an explosive situation, so I can just hit it and quit it.
I'm not reading through this whole post, but if socks ain't mentioned I'd be surprised. 🤣🤣
