Excuse me, but how, as one person said, is this thread "a gold mine of information?" This isn't even information.

i wondered about that for a second too
i took it as sarcasm
Show me proof that Bolt and anyone else that hasn't been found guilty are in fact dopers and I'll believe you. But, you have no proof.

This is all the proof anyone needs of "Olympic Truth's" disposition and huge negative bias. He has an agenda to push. Failed athlete. Embarrassing.
"I am disappointed/mad at the IAAF/IOC and the track world in general because of the drug use that has been going on since the 80s and no one is or has been clean for a long time. I know alot of these guys and I am 100% sure. I was close to a medalist, and he never said anything but in less than 1 year he went from losing to me by 8 meters to beating me by 1."

In case you really feel like doing some digging, I'll say that one of the individuals who I'm sure was clean finished top 8 in a distance event (3k/5k/10k) at the '92 Olympics. That narrows it down to a half-dozen people.
I'm not trying to "put [your opinions] down" here; it's genuinely upsetting to hear that so many athletes you've coached have had such negative experiences with the sport at the tail ends of their college careers. I hope for their sake and for the sake of all clean competitors that we someday have an answer to the rampant doping in the sport--I just don't believe "guilty until somehow proven innocent" (when the only proof of innocence seems to be running slower?) is that answer.
Thats fine. I agree, but based on what's going on how should someone respond to the dirty sport. It has to be guilty until proven innocent. OR the IAAF and IOC need to enforce better test OR allow doping, which is where is going. Mark my word 20 years from now it will be the norm. In the next 2 Olys there will be a shift. Too many "good" people are using and that will begin to eat away at them or they need money.
Train hard, get educated and maybe make a semi or final in the 800 maybe the 400 but doubtful. 100, 200 no way just get a degree and go to the trials. OR allow use of authorized supplements. aka TU. If its presented that way, no negative experience.

People like you shouldn't post here, no viable evidence people are doping other than they are fast or got a medal, that's just plain stupid.
And yeah because I'm dealing with stupidity I'll make it clear I'm not saying everyone is clean because I'm not stupid, but everyone IS NOT dirty end of discussion.
Your opinion. I have a different one. And its valid and could be true. I think ALL the elites are dirty. I have alot!! of circumstantial evidence to back it up. A main fact is that "clean" people are beating dopers. So are they genetic freaks. Unlikely. So I formed the theory, they all must be using. Now not only that, but I have run and competed at a sub world level and I have had numerous discussions with other athletes. AND there are numerous books and published articles and former stars that support this theory.

Another prediction of the "All Olympic Sprinters are dumb" theory is observed. The theory grows stronger.

Just like how many posters on letsrun want to believe all the athletes that pass the drug test are clean, people want to believe politicians have the people's best interest in mind which we know isn't true. Professional sports has way too much money involved for doping to not exist on a huge scale. You really think people whose career depends on their performance in a sport isn't going to do whatever it takes to beat their competition? Sticking a needle in your butt twice a week and beating a sham piss test is a lot easier than getting up early to run or staying track on a healthy diet. The amount of delusion in society is laughable and as long as that persist, it will be a theater play staged to make people believe athletes are clean.

100- ALL DIRTY- pick a semi finalist
200 same
400 same
800- open
1500 1st thru 5th dirty- after that open
Deca & Hep-all medalist dirty
Jumps could be clean- technical
Of course I am open to discussion. But the nice guy. down to earth, he's skinny line is useless.
Bolt no chance beyond the obvious. Look at him in late 2006 on youtube he lost to Gay, he was crushed then less than 2 years later BOOM 19.3 and all the weight gain. Again on youtube he gained like 40lbs in 6 months. They show him in Jan. skinny! Then winning the gold in London. But that's easy.
Unreal progression is the easiest way to tell. But they have ways of dodging that...aka MJ, Carl all took a year off then drop the time. Still MJ went from a 21. in high school to 19. (i think) in his soph. year.
anyone 10.1 or better consistent dirty; There should be a steady improvement from the beginning of the year etc.
Clean, I dunno. But the chick who ran a 14s 100 in the hijab is doped to the gillz!
So you're saying that highschoolers are also doping? And college kids?
