The GOP was handed the Senate in the last cycle based on promises that they would fight back against government spending and overreach. They IMMEDIATELY threw their entire base under the bus and passed a $4.1 trillion spending bill that both Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi praised.

As long as you believe the lie that Republicans are responsible for Democrat policy failures you will never be able to understand what is needed to make things better. Here's the real problem with what you're doing.

If I were advising a Republican in Congress I would say:

"Look. You just passed a bill giving the Democrats everything they wanted so that you wouldn't be seen as obstructionist during an election year... but it didn't work. All it did is piss off our base and encourage a primary challenge. They are still out there calling you an obstructionist and blaming you for everything that's going wrong, so why bother trying to please Democrats. You can't do it so don't even try. Show the base you mean business and keep any radical leftist off the Court. That will firm up the base and the Dems will scream bloody murder, but then, that's all they ever do."

Your posts are barely coherent and often misrepresent facts and basic reality. Solely from the post above: The new Congress was elected nearly one year before the recent budget legislation passed, not immediate in any sense of the term. The $1.8 trillion price tag in added deficit spending ($4.1T is the '16-'17 budget outline recently sent up to Congress by the President) is not all spending, more than one-third of it is due to making permanent the annual tax extenders and other related tax cuts/credits.

politicians make mistakes - not every vote, not every thing said is right.

An attempted filibuster is different from saying that the President shouldn't nominate anybody and saying that a nominee won't be considered.

If the Republicans want to block Obama's nominee by votes, that's up to them.
