How are then and than not homophones? They're pronounced the same and have different meanings. See here:
I wouldn't pronounce them the same. I see that "than" does, in some cases, have two pronunciations listed: one the same as "then", and one different (rhymes with "tan"). I prefer the second.
This list does not show them as homophones:
http://homophone.com/results.php?how=begin&searchfor=TNow aren't you glad you stuck up for Mr "I'm better at life then (all of) you are" dude? Was it worth it?
What do your "out and out genius" friends say about getting into useless, pointless arguments on the interwebs with complete strangers? Do they find that a sign of high or low intellect? Or let me guess- they engage in it all the time themselves, with posts chock full of spelling and grammar errors? Yes, I am sure of it.
Carry on, your battle is almost won.

If you actually live in seattle and are "proud", that means your wife is actually a "beard", having fathered 3 by an(others). "Not that there is anything wrong with that...."

Yes, I am better at life then you.
Two points off for poor grammar: It's "Better at life THAN you"

Simplified to a triple this is: 1:48/babe/lotsa money.
QUESTION: Does the hot girl need to be currently alive?
If not, Oscar P has this one wrapped up.
This was also the first person that came to mind on the smokin hot babe money and moderately fast times

Not sure about the $250K element, but surely Ryan Gregson is a chance - 3:31 (1500)/13:37 (5k)/dates fellow athlete Genevieve LaCaze - fire up google for that one.
Well now.
Shame he doesn't make that kinda cake.

Close but... wrote:Are we going for all three at one time? If so professional runners are about the only ones who will hit it.
I know two guys who are close. One will make it in 8+ years after he gets done with residency he ran 13:50's, wife is 8/10.
The other one will never break 14 but he ran 14:20's, wife 8-9/10 and he will also be close to 250k once done with residency.
I am more the DII triple ran sub 4:10 mile never focused on 5k but ran faster than the above guy in cross. Making ~100k but am in the top 5-10% of earners where I live. Wife 7/10. I sincerely think I am happier working a normal 40 hr week than the above guys slaving through med school and residency but it is all perspective.
Yes, your lifetime PR just has to be sub-14, you don't have to do three at once.
So far all the examples had been pro runners... which do qualify, but I was hoping for some more examples of guys who ran sub-14 and made $250k in something other than their running ability. Those are some good additions.
Yes-- the sub-14:00 is by far the hardest condition to meet, especially for the older generation when sub-15 would get you on a college team and sub-14:30 meant that you were actually a good college runner.
There should be an "year graduated from college" conversion table.
I got the B standard at 28 (for the first time).
1) 1030 IAAF in multiple MD events (equivalent to 13:51 5K)
2) Will make about $102K this year
3) Currently casually dating a couple gals, but they are all mid 20's, with great bodies, and attractive faces. None I'd be willing to lock down though.

sub 15 in college (barely)

hot girlfriend
I wonder how much Sileshi Sihine, aka Mr. Tirunesh Dibaba, was making back in the day? Reckon her ever cleared a quarter million?
I know a guy who ran 14:0X in college and is now a doctor in his 30's. Haven't met his wife but I believe she's attractive and exercises regularly.
