This situation of roster size and emphasis on track vs xc was discussed when Gibby took this position.In retro this should not surprise anyone if Gibby was essentially doing the something at UM that he did at W&M which is put 40 guys in a blender and see who comes out the other side. No way most power conf schools are going to give you those rooster spots.....Those suggesting he lands at either UTenn or Texas he will run into the same exact problem at either place.

Michigan has a lot of in-state kids too that are on little to no scholarship. Michigan is very expensive in-state, but many of those athletes are very old and may not be able to transfer out. If SEC Coaches is correct, I have gained tremendous respect for Gibby. However, I feel bad for those kids that may be cut, and hope that they weigh their options thoroughly before making their choices.
