Overall, I'd give myself somewhere between 7 and 8, depending on how in shape I am. I'm tall, in decent shape (lifting, not running), but carrying a few (not too many) more pounds than ideal at the moment. Girls definitely approach me regularly at clubs and often comment on how attractive I am, but I know I'm not extremely good looking. I'm in my early 30s but look young, no wrinkles and a full head of hair. I guess it could be worse, but I'm still jealous of the guys who are really good looking, since I'm not too far away but not quite there. Some attractive girls I've dated have been way into my looks, but I wish more were..
And there are plenty of attractive guys under 5'10.

Yeah dude, I mean this in the most heterosexual way possible, but you are tall and in shape, which is more than most guys have going for them, and not a bad looking guy at all. Hit the gym and put on a bit of lean muscle mass. Also, what you were talking about was way over my head, but I would have tried to carry myself a little better. You sounded like you knew exactly what you were talking about, but didn't seem 100% comfortable up there. Also, if I were making a presentation, I would have worn slacks and a nice button-up shirt, not gone up there in jeans and a t-shirt, regardless of how informal the setting was.
hmm..well thanks. I also base my rating of 4 off of the fact that girls very rarely, if ever hit on me, in any circumstances. I'd say MAYBE once a year, at most. I've never even had a girlfriend before (not that I've ever even looked, though--not really interested)
Someone else mentioned it, and you sort of alluded to it with your "carrying yourself" comment--that I have poor self-confidence...and you would both be correct about that. Well, knowing that women like confident guys, I guess that is why they never hit on me or make any advance whatsoever, or even give a 2nd look lol.
as for not seeming comfortable, I'm not used to giving presentations really, and this was my first one in 1.5 years. I know I should have dressed better (the other students have for their presentations) but I just prefer to keep things simple.

Somehow I don't associate "handsome" with height. I might tie height to "attractive" or "good-looking," but I tend to think of "handsome" as more just a face/head thing. I didn't realize that I made this distinction until right now...
Anyway, ignoring my imposing 6-3 and my underwhelming 154lbs, I'd give myself a 5: not deformed, not actually ugly, but nothing special. Plus my ears stick out a bit.
I used to be very good looking. About a 9. I was in a fraternity and was chosen for those fraternity fund-raising calendar pictures, and won the "Hottest Frat Man" competition at my college. Now that I'm in my 50's, I'm still fairly good looking, but "older guy" good looking. My hair hasn't fallen out but I have some wrinkles and my jawline is beginning to soften. Still in decent shape. My wife says that I'm an 8+, but of course she has a bias. I would say that I'm around a 7.
"Rate-me", the only suggestions I would have are to dress a bit better, upgrade a bit from the t-shirts and jeans, maybe start up with some pushups to fill out your torso, and IMPROVE YOUR POSTURE. Stand up straight! You're a good looking guy who just needs a few tweaks to really stand out.

That is a perfectly valid point, but the vast majority of girls prefer taller guys.
I was a 10 but as I age I am headed to a 1.
