If you look at the original video and footage released from the FBI earlier.... It kind of looks like the guy has on an all black hat. This guy in the pic has writing on his hat. and it looks like he's carrying something burgandy in color. I also sent a video into cnn yesterday because... there's a video on youtube that shows 2 men on a roof top right after the explosions. Has anyone seen that one?

Higher res photo clearly shows white hat is the ralph lauren hat posted earlier in this thread. The 3 is visible on the side.
wow, its amazing how with the higher res pic "suspect #1" is clearly a totally different guy, despite the similarities of hat, pants and shoes. Hard to say whether white polo hat guy looks more or less like the missing student.
The twitter message in your comment, stating that the image of suspect #2 in the Boston marathon bombing appeared similar to missing college student Sunil Tripathi peaked my interest. I began by following up on the twitter posting, then found a site about the missing Brown student, which mentioned his address. Another search led me to an article in the Boston Globe about a series of loud fiery blasts in woods near Hanover, RI, the investigation of which led to the discovery of 'homemade' explosives, coincidentally, at the same time Mr. Tripathi is said to have gone missing. I checked Google maps; the driving time between Tripathi's given address; and the town in which the bombs were exploded; is 20 minutes.
I just called the Hanover police, who investigated those blast reports, to make sure they had noticed this coincidence and alerted the FBI.
Story in March about explosives going off and looking for suspects. May not be related.

Also, the man in the back of the photo, next to the woman, is absolutely NOT the black hat man from the video.
However, I believe the black hat man might be right in front of white hat in this new photo. If you look, there is a man almost totally obscured by the pole/red box in the photo, turning the corner in front of white hat. You can see a black hood of what seems like some sort of athletic outerwear jacket, similar to what he was wearing in the surveillance videos. He also seems to be walking, not running, and is ahead of white hat as he was in the surveillance videos.
I haven't checked the entire thread but what is with the older man laughing????

David Green: Amazing work. I heard your interview on CNN. You had run the race that day, and went to help when you heard the blasts and thought you couldn't do anything. But you happened to catch such a clear image accidentally. Your selflessness is so commendable. Kudos to you.
Why do you say it is absolutely not the guy next to the women. To me he looks absolutely like suspect #2....trying to see the other you are referring to....hmmmm
Also, as David Green just said on CNN, black hat dude in the high res post-bombing photo is NOT the suspect. This black hat after the bombing has some red on it.
