Please consider signing petition asking Louis Luchini to Remove Himself from Olympic consideration

No one ever said they could run faster than him did they. NOoOoooo. You people act like your not allowed to have an opinion if you cant run faster than him. But I do know someone faster than him right now that can. Rojo may know his email adress that is true, but I dont and everyone else doesnt...and how tastless is it to post his email on the web....a hell of a lot more than the petetion now isnt it.

Now he runs one decent race at the trials and still doesn't get an A or a B standard and Louis is supposed to step aside and let him go DNF again?

I still do not understand why you chose to publicly humiliate Mr. Luchinni with your lynchmob-esque petition rather than send him a private email with your opinion on why he should give up his life's work and dream.

What makes your action even more dispicable is that as a Division I coach, you are responsible for instilling non-defeatist attitudes in young men just like Mr. Luchinni.

If there is ever a petition calling on you to relinquish your coaching position, I hope I have an opportunity to sign it.

Besides serving as media for the sport, Rojo is also an ambassador for Cornell cross country and track. So while Rojo may be entitled to his opinion, launching this inappropriate public petition directed personally at Mr. Luchini does not reflect well on my alma mater.

All he said was Luchini should give up his spot if he doesn't really believe he's got a shot at the Games. Sure he may have worded it a bit strong but who cares. Many of you agree with him. I see Andrew Williams and Chris Banks two national class athletes have signed the petition.
