It is foolish to get into debates about entire generations. There's little or nothing of use to say at that level of generality.

Every generation has some level of resentment for the generations that proceed them. That has been going on throughtout history.

A few observations about the younger generation (I'm 33 btw):

1. The stereotype about being lazy is WRONG. I think many of my younger co-workers and friends are quite hardworking and driven.

2. Younger generations need a lot of encouragement and coddling though. I think this comes from having too much parent and family envolvement when younger, and they need to be mothered and taken care of more.

3. Younger generations are less resilient and more apt to becoming depressed or anxious when dealing with life's hardships.

4. Younger generations are less patient about moving up and being promoted.

5. Younger generations are more entitled.

They have their own set of issues, but the boomers are the worst. They protested everything when they were kids, ran corporate greed to an all-time high (or low, depending on how you look at it) and raised the generation that gave birth to the youth today that is not allowed to protest anything.

From the way you're talking shows me that your generation has no repect for anyone. Don't get mad at us baby boomers, because we had it made. We respected our parents and our elders. We didn't create this world. If you young 20 something year olds would have respect, you wouldn't be in the situation you're in now. You wouldn't even think of going to school or in public wearing your pants like that. Your would be arrested. Parents today are afraid of their kids. We lived in a two parent house hold. Today, these kids only live with one. We had crime, but crime today is alot worse now then it was back then. Parents in my day use the belt to disciplin their children. It's what our parents thought and it's what their parents thought.
